@LeavesinTibet I absolutely agree. Look, for all those ppl who thinks this guy hacks (even if that is the true), the fact is that I have seen a guy doing this in an arcade. Seriously, some ppl are just that good. I have also seen a guy in Japan go through the entire game with one hand - Live.
I've got the perfect Street Fighter II game. Replace the Ken character in the Red Karate uniform with Jeopardy! and now Grand Slam 2007 champion, Ken Jennings. This game will be a big seller ;)
One thing I always liked was the awesome detail in the F-16 in the background when fighting Guile, especially for a 16-bit design. Very well done by the way. I was never able to really *pwn* anyone wiht Ken. I was always a Chun Li user, and my brother would always beat me with Ryu or Ken and I could neer beat him.
Special moves like hadoken, shoryuken, sonic boom, etc.. gives chip damage while jump hits and standing hits like jabs, mediums, fierce, etc... doesn't give chip damage.
Kids don't go to arcades anymore, that's a shame. I remember no matter who was on the sticks, any challenger was welcome. I used to whip complete strangers ASSES!
@LeavesinTibet I have'nt commmented on this video before so not sure what you're talking about, however this is footage of a noob "tap throw" player using A1 patterns and cheapness then throwing it up here. This verison is the easiest of all to complete simular feats even here without the tap throw would be worth while, but this is STANDARD, every kid in the arcade back in the day could complete the game in this manner.
@LeavesinTibet This game invented Combo Based Gameplay. There are tons of Combo's possible in this original. Although sure the hits are a bit overpowered. They changed that in Champion Edition.
@InfernalMatter I dont think he is playing in easy mode thought. If you see in the corner of the screen at the beggining it says credits and we all know what that means. He is playing in a REAL ARCADE! NOT ARCADE MODE IN HIS SNES. Im pretty sure you cant change the difficulty level in a Arcade machine. You know what I mean. If im wrong PLEASE correct me. I played in a arcade before but im not really sure if you could change the difficulty level OR that could mean the computer just sucks! :)
This version only makes you recieve damage when you get hit by a special and you are blocking, in Hyper Fighting and Champion Edition, it takes damage in Block for both standard attacks and specials.
I only came here to confirm that Ken's final pose in the street fighter movie is wrong he is supposed to be throwing the peace sign! Or the V for victory!
@TheHibert Because these are all opinions, including yours. For the most part, SF has a more "legit" or even "hardcore" reputation. To this day, people play SFII in tournaments, never mind the HD remake. That's how well balanced and enduring it is. Not only did it put fighting games on the map, but it's become a part of pop culture. Down, Right, Fierce. "...he was throwing hadokens at me." -Nick Diaz, MMA fighter, etc. MK has its merits, but it will always play second fiddle to SF.
This can't be the hardest difficulty, when you jump on them they do not block that´s strange. I wish id have a good camera to record my MAME fights, you would like them!
0:58 PROOF that this is on easiest. Have you ever seen a dizzied character recover with that motion on hardest? They shake crazy fast, takes less than a second to recover. She barely moves.
Hi! Can you please tell me how you do that triple combo (you did it on Zangief 2 times). But when i land the 2nd punch (after the jump punch), Zangief moves away from me and i cant do the shoryuken. tx!
@masterquest91 So... I have gone to this address and see a tool-assisted video for "SNES Super Street Fighter 2 (USAv1.0) "Ken Version" by someone named W.S. Saturn. Where do I begin? Your link is for SUPER Street Fighter II video. A1Major's video is Street Fighter II: World Warrior. Your link shows the Super Nintendo version of the game since. A1Major's is the Arcade version as you can see by the ."Insert Coin" message at the top right corner of the screen.
there is a 4 hit combo you can do with guile that perfects them in about 2 seconds. i cant find a video of it. does anyone know where it is?. I saw it on gamesmaster (with dominic diamond!) I can nearly do it but never have. the final punch always misses dammit

Your play with Ken is really good, A1Major. top marks 2 you.
Special moves like hadoken, shoryuken, sonic boom, etc.. gives chip damage while jump hits and standing hits like jabs, mediums, fierce, etc... doesn't give chip damage.

Old days
everyday i was playing this game with my cousin,
i miss the old days
I luv Ken's mouth while he's in winning pose with hand raised :)
Seeing as it resulted in two perfects without issue, I'd say he picked the right thing to do.
Woa man excelent work
StreetFighter is awsome love it to death .I love Ken,Ryu and E.Honda

i use to love doing the quad uppercut
How me and my bro settled disputes and aggression as children using the virtual world.

People finding this from Fortnite
Ken is in Smash Bros. Ultimate!
Ryu always flips back and starts firing hadokens.
Go, Ken!
it lists it as one in regular 2, along with the "sinning bird/star kick" and "lightning kick" thanks for the input though

@luigidude15 yes you can change the difficulty levels. maybe he is playing on mame.

Ah, this came takes me back.
SF2 father of all fighter games
@dunnono00
1) I've seen the real video from the original source
2) The source it came from is a database for these types of gameplay videos.
My childhood days
@InfernalMatter
1)A1 Major didn't play any of this.
2)This was done with extreme slowdown and multiple saved states

Good memories
Ryu looks 12 years old on the Ken Vs. Ryu screen.
no wonder they changed it in turbo
Wasn't talking to you, you're welcome.

hhmmmm...my sweet memoriess...😊😊😊
4:34 for Guile theme.
Mano ese jogo é muito bom e até hoje eu gosto
very good
Have to agree with the core mechanics, Street Fighters physics are much superior.
Classico... Sem palavras!
0:58 PROOF that this is on easiest. Have you ever seen a dizzied character recover with that motion on hardest? They shake crazy fast, takes less than a second to recover. She barely moves.
@masterquest91
Well... don't keep us in suspense. Point to the database/original source in question.
strategy guides online and at book stores say different.
that shit is sick...dizzy after like 3 hits
u could nvr do this in the consoles back then...... the moves were slower so there's not much manipulative combos
The lower dragon punch does major damage..
no manches eres bueno
Is this where teh flowchart kens get it from?
I admit Chun Li walked in the Shoryuken
my ex worked at the arcade an even when he tuned it up he could get all perfects , so that's the way it is
2:59
Thumbs if you came here just to see guiles theme in action.

The only fighter I can get a perfect in is the car.....and that's saying a lot about my skill level
Super Street Fighter II Turbo will always and forever be better than Super Street Fighter IV. I had to add that
Perfect
@InfernalMatter cant agree more..
Street Fighter ll Ken Masters All Perfect Ps5粉紅色主機版本 The - Pink&Orange -
despues de honda seguia blanka....por que no lo paso???....porque no le pudo hacer perfect
0:19 There is no way in this world to do that. No time.
there is a 4 hit combo you can do with guile that perfects them in about 2 seconds. i cant find a video of it. does anyone know where it is?. I saw it on gamesmaster (with dominic diamond!) I can nearly do it but never have. the final punch always misses dammit
