    • @nathanquincefishing7122
      @nathanquincefishing7122  3 года назад +1

      Depends on the situation I don’t for swimbaits or stuff I want to stay shiny but for ned rigs and flipping jigs I paint them to make it more natural and match the color of the bait

    FYI you can save yourself some time..... Pour them all together so the sprues are touching, they all come out at once instead of taking them out individually

    Keeping that slag on top keeps the lead hot just keep your pot at least half full you will never have a issue just my 2 cents

    • @nathanquincefishing7122
      @nathanquincefishing7122  3 года назад

    I do the same thing even with dirty lead. Just make the shit people make things too complicated. It's a lead fishing weight or buckshot it's gonna get dirty, lost or bloody anyways. People back in the day didn't have all this fancy stuff and they made out all right

    Mmmm.. I’m down to 10 Five gallon buckets full of clean range lead muffins. I can’t lift a bucket so it’s a lot of lead. I’ve been pumping out 9mm and .45 bullets for reloading for years and still have 3 or 4 fish boxes of raw junk filled range lead to smelt down. With all that lead I’m still buying 1 to 10 oz sinkers and jigs at scary prices and it NEVER occurred to me that I could make my own. I probably left 30lbs of lead on the bottom of the big ditch so I’ll be saving enough cake to buy a new reel or maybe a new gun. Yahoo mofo.
