Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address

These are the words that would be recited before all else when men would get together for whatever reason in the first nation for my part of the country.
This is the oldest known public prayer or thanksgiving address known for North America.

I listen to this a lot. If it’s been a while since I did, it makes me cry. I cry of gratitude. I cry for the things that have been done to the earth, to my local city. I cry from detachment, like a child missing their mother, living in my apartment, needing to participate in the further alienation in order to get to buy pre sliced food. But then I always return. Go to wildernessawareness.org, under “Store”, you’ll find small printed booklets of the Thanksgiving Address. They’re $5, not sure how much shipping is.
I’m sure there are other places to find it as well, this is just the one I know about.
