Hi, thanks for the video, where did you get the bases to solder to the motherboard for the chips? They have a square section seat and I only find a round section.
cool video, thanks for putting this up! can you clarify / confirm that no calibration is needed for the voice chips when they are replaced? I am in similar situation, weighing up to acetone the original chips or just splash out on 6 new chips. I'm happy to desolder and remove / replace chips myself but the thing that's stopping me is another video that shows a lengthy and complex calibration procedure that requires scope and function generator etc. I don't have that test equipment. your video seems like its not needed? any advice appreciated. cheers!
Thanks for this great video. I actually have a question about the Chorus on my Juno 106. Both I and II sound exactly the same. Have you heard of this issue before?

Hey, that is a great question! I’m not a pro tech, but I have done this on about a dozen Juno’s and never had to do a calibration. Hope that helps!
Yes, you do need some of the copper wick and you can put flux on it too to help it come out.
Lost me at the rocking chips, next lol!!
I'm doing this and i'm having a lot of trouble getting the chip to come loose. If i get some of this wick will it work?

Thank you, I actually have not seen that before. Has it ever been different or has it always been like that?
Who needs to desolder components when you can just rip them off the board!
