Not only was the legends around wrapping up their career, but you had the greats in their prime, and the up and comers learning from the greats. Hip hop definitely ruined r&b and good singers.

If she trains her voice it'll get back to where it use to be. Her voice likely changed slightly due to maturity, however she should still have access to majority of her range with practice. 40s to 60s should be a woman's vocal prime so she can do it.
