The former University of Utah basketball player, who recently put his name in the transfer portal after considering entering the NBA draft, announced on his Twitter page that he’s transferring to Minnesota. A transfer from Utah, Gach committed to his home state Gophers over Auburn, Creighton, Iowa State and Maryland. A 6-foot-7 junior guard and potential starter, he is the final piece to what could be a much-improved basketball team for Richard Pitino next season. As a sophomore, Both Gach averaged 10.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 30.4 minutes per contest. Gach became the third Utah player to record a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against Mississippi Valley State. Gach is excited to be part of the new-look Gophers in 2020-21. He is among six newcomers joining only a handful of players who saw consistent playing time during a disappointing 15-16 season.

I think it was more about going back home than having the ball in his hands.
Utes Timmy Allen was the number one man last year, and deservingly so. Good luck in Minnesota gach. He started the year hot here in utah, mainly from 3. Then he went downhill and was taking a ton of 3's and then weren't falling but yet he kept taking them. If he would of stayed he would of had the ball more in his hands this year. But in Minnesota I see him getting less time.
Why did he transfer out of Utah?
He needs the ball in hands more IMO
@@lovethisgame415 he was second best and 3rd best on the utes team at the end of the season after he got hurt. Timmy Allen was number 1 and deservingly so. If he would of stayed he would of been a primary guy this year.
every body leaves utah, we hate it
