My worst no till year was when we waited 3 weeks after planting without a rain. I was using the Thompson spiked style which is great at closing the trench. It's not great at sealing up over the seed, sometimes you get a ribbon of soil over the trench. Sometimes the trench would dry out before the seed could germinate, so I had plants emerging after that first rain. If you're dry, this is a good year to see how well that plant is performing and the condition of the trench.

@@TheFarmersLife Well we're about at dent here and it's predicted to be 100+ for seven straight days. I think that'll about shut us down for the year.
Still hanging on okay here for now. A lot cooler this week. 82 today and that's the warmest forecasted this week.
