If I could re-do this video, I would add in Luciana's "And may it be that you have quite forgot a husband's office?" monologue from The Comedy of Errors, which I rarely ever see done in auditions! It has the potential to be very funny, and it has a bit of a Helena (from Midsummer's) vibe. I just did a breakdown for it here: ruclips.net/video/BfGk63ZDz2c/видео.html
I’m thinking of doing the Portia monologue for drama school auditions- would that be a bad idea? I really like the complexity of how, Portia would have been played by a man, so it would have been a man acting as a woman, acting as a man.
Yes absolutely. Honestly, audio editing is not my strong suit and it's often hard to tell levels when I'm editing on my laptop. I'm actually going to skip music for most of my videos from now on. Thanks for being here, even with the distracting music!
Worried you’re botching your Shakespeare monologue? I’ve got you covered. Catch my exclusive mini training, 3 Big Shakespeare Mistakes (you don’t know you’re making). Here it is: shakespearewithsarah.com/mistakes/
Fantastic video, can't wait for the breakdown on Portia's monologue!
This is an invaluable resource, thank you!
Couldn't agree more!

Personally I think it's fine for drama school auditions! It's really fun.
Could you turn the music down a bit ? It’d be a great help, especially is anyone else’s ADHD and auditory issues are as bad as mine !
