Heya! This brings back so many memories! Went on a 3 day cruise from Sydney in April of 2019, and stumbled apon this! A few things have changed, definitely but not much! Mini Put Put and Basketball was fun, but hard with the waves haha! We are going on Ovation Of The Seas, so I hope it is like Spirit! Carnival Spirit truly is a one-of-a-kind ship.

Just booked a cruise on her yesterday, our third cruise, taking advantage of Carnival's 50th anniversary special on the last day of March. We will be sailing out of Miami in January 2023 on a Southern Caribbean cruise- Aruba, Bonaire, Grand Turk, and Princess Cay. This ship is going to a variety of places since leaving Australia. Thank you for the tour.
was supposed to go on this ship this june from brisbane Australia on a 4 night cruise for my 20th but unfortunately got cancelled due to covid. and now i know by my 21st i will be sailing on this beautiful ship. cant wait for next year already!!!

Great ship tour! We are very familiar with the Spirit class ships but the Spirit seems so much brighter than her sisters (Pride, Miracle & Legend) We will be on the Spirit in 2023 for our cruise to Alaska and this will complete the Spirit class for us. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for an excellent tour. This ship will be coming to my home port of Mobile, AL in October 2023. I just wish it would take over for the Ecstasy as soon as it leaves port for the last time. But we need to wait a year with no ship.
Maybe they will make changes before then, they seem to be moving things around a lot and rescheduling ships and cruises. Fingers crossed something changes for you guys in Mobile. We loved the ship its a great size and really enjoyed the overall look of it. Enjoy if you get to sail on the Spirit.

The 1 year gap for the next ship to get in mobile is actually so that they can dig out and expand the port of mobile so that the bigger ship can fit in the port. Currently the port is too small and the spirit would not be able to maneuver through the port. Pretty crazy!!

The napoleon room is part of the MDR. Its normally used for big groups or business events. I got to use that room on my cruise to Hawaii on the Carnival Miracle as the MDR was overbooked during my scheduled meal time.
I miss this ship it was the one I always took once a year it just hit me in the feels seeing the ship in action

The Steakhouse gives a complimentary bottle of wine on the 1rst cruise night only.
That was my understanding also. But we heard no announcement about it or any promotion indicating when we got on board. That wouldn't have been enough to entice us anyway. Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks for the tour. Seems like it has everything you would expect from Carnival. Was just worried cause it was a older smaller ship. But I think after seeing the tour we will jump on the Alaska one sometime in June.
It really is a beautiful ship, we liked it so much we booked it’s sister ship the Freedom for a cruise this fall.
@@TaziarTravel Is the Freedom actually the sister ship? I thought Legend, Pride and Miracle were.
@@lynnbell8623 you are correct technically Freedom is in the Conquest class.
In Australia the Napoleon Room was mainly just an extension of Empire Dining Room. It seemed to be where they sat all the really big groups who wanted to eat together. We hated it, used to call it the dungeon cause its about 3 steps lower than the main dining room and you cant see the crew dancing etc, bit isolating. In saying that we LOVE the spirit, really going to miss her.

Almost the exact same ship as the Spirit.
Minor cosmetic differences.
Going back to Alaska on the Spirt in June.

Freedom is our favorite ship so I was feeling very wary about the whole thing. I am really happy to see that this looks like a beautiful ship. And a pool in the Serenity area? I’m sold!
We really did like this ship… It’s one of our new favorites with Carnival.. We are actually going to be sailing on the Freedom in September. We liked the spirit so much that we booked the Freedom.. Hoping we like it as much as the spirit. Sounds like we will. Thanks for watching!
Our upcoming October cruise was switched also, from Freedom to Spirit. This video was very helpful! This ship seems to have the same layout as Pride.

We are taking an Alaska cruise on the spirit in July of 2023. I've sailed on the Legend and Miracle (Spirit class), so I am comfortable with the layout. This past week, we took the Mardi Gras, so the Spirit is going to be a big difference in regards to size.

Last rode Spirit in 2008 San Diego south to Acapulco & back. We're aboard again April 17th in Miami & get off in Seattle (she does get around, doesn't she?). Some things have not changed, such as the Egyptian themes down below and the steakhouse inside the stack. Oher things are new to us. You did a nice job on this video. Thank you, sir!

Awesome. One tip though, unless you are the first boarding group for boarding, be prepared for long waits and lines to get through the terminal. For our trip it certainly wasn't a fun experience. Disembarkation was a mess too. They have had a few more cruises since we went, so hopefully they have gotten better. The cruise though was fantastic! Have a great trip.

I think you are referring to Soul Play? I suspect that is some kind of arts/crafts/painting type activity area. We never saw anyone in there during our cruise, so I am not sure it was open when we sailed. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the your getting on the same ship on the 31 of March m. How was the steak house or the food overall
Unfortunately we didn't eat in the steakhouse so I can't really say how it was. Reading through the Facebook Group from our cruise, the steakhouse didn't seem to get great reviews. The staff is still pretty new, so there may be some inconsistencies in service as well as delivery. They are certainly trying, but we did find some longer wait times waiting for our food after ordering and sometimes it was just luke warm. Also, unless you are in one of the early boarding times, be prepared for long wait times at the port in Jacksonville to check in and get on the ship. Thanks for watching!

Our cruise got changed from Freedom to Spirit this fall, someone said they don't do dive in movies in the evenings do you know if the do or not? Great video, will be watching for more.

Thank you! I didn’t see does that have a location for pizza? Also is it have a 24 hour ice cream? What kind of dance parties did you have on board? Was there an 80s dance party while you were there?
Yes 24 hour pizza in the back of the buffet area.. 24 hour ice cream in the main pool deck entryway… not a lot of entertainment right now. No 80’s dance party. They arent fully staffed yet, so as they get more experience on the crew I think things will slowly be added to the options for parties and things. It wasnt a typical Carnival experience.. Of course we were one of the first couple of cruises on the ship since they brought it to the USA.

The Serenity area is so different from ship to ship and it's hard to get a picture of what it's like through Carnival. Please consider including a complete walk through of the Serenity area in the future. Thank you!
Thanks for watching.. We did include a bit of the serenity area around the 16:30 minute mark. The problem is that a lot of times areas have a lot of people in them and we try not to show to many people especially in bathing suits. The Serenity deck seems to be an area that people migrate to more than others and sometimes it’s not easy to show the area and keep it a PG video LOL. Or family friendly…
Hello, I am sailing on the Carnival Spirit. In October month. Do they fit people of 4 in a cabin comfortably?

What is the exact date of this video? I noticed the tablecloths in the mdr! Is this happening again? I have not liked having dinner in the mdr without tablecloths. Thank you for the video!
It was filmed on the March 17th cruise out of Jacksonville. It has been so long since we cruised carnival that we forgot about the tablecloths. They did have an American Table sign on the table one night, but still had the table cloths.

We aren't big casino players, no not sure I can really answer your question. That said, we saw many of the same machines in the Spirit casino as we saw in Las Vegas casinos in December. Big flashy screens. Thanks for watching.

There was no Seafood Shack. I did notice them selling seafood (king crab legs) for an upcharge at a section of the buffet. There may have been other seafood items as well. Thanks for watching!

What are the shows and entertainers?
There were no stage shows during our cruise. We had stand up comedy and then a guy came on to do a variety/comedy/music show on one of the nights. Think one man show kind of thing. There might have been a magician one of the other nights. There was the usual live music around the ship.

@@TaziarTravel I heard rumours it'll be Costa Magica so not a true CCL ship from the US. I believe Splendor was originally going to be a Costa ship but CCL snapped her up at the last moment. In effect, we'll have two Costa ships here in Australia if Magica comes this way. I'm yet to sail on Splendor.
Hoped there would be a good tour of the serenity area and the casino. Disappointed.
Sorry about that. I am sure there are some other videos out there that may cover those in more detail. It is hard to show every detail of the ship in a single video without making it over an hour long.
