This video is an answer to the following question about regional EV use from a viewer named Graham McGrath:
"I was recently given a new EV to drive to work for several days. I drive 90 kms each way when I’m on shift, mostly on freeways in a regional environment. It appeared that the EV I was driving did not like this type of driving and used the battery more quickly than was described in the literature for this car.
"I also had to charge the car between shifts at home on a 15 amp power point but found the charge rates extremely lengthy and had to resort to a trip to a fast charger for a top-up. In fact several trips as the first 2 were not working. I now know the meaning of “range anxiety” and am not really sure that an EV for people like myself driving from the suburbs to the regions is a realistic option.
"I know that several manufacturers do offer fast charger options at a cost but I would appreciate your thoughts on these and other factors about EV ownership."
