Let's try to think: If Heady continued to make Hardstyle music without feeling happy, what would happen? The music with no emotions. Listen to his new songs pls. He loves this music, he loves this life. I think all the haters should watch his liveset at Jingle Ball. He played Hardstyle nearly all the time. But, he didnt feel happy. Can you see that he smiled a lot at Spring Awakening? 'cause he feels happy. He chose the music instead of the fame. Making Hardstyle makes him famous, but he doesnt need that fame. Instead of criticising him, you should admire for what he has chosen. I cant understand what some Hard dance lovers think when they have such negative words for Heady? He is a LEGEND, for both his talent and personality. Think that If you are a real music lover, you should respect his choice. It's unnecessary for you to listen to his songs if you dont like. Jingle ball was a different party with a different vibe so you can't gauge his mood from comparing 2 videos. Heady loves music, and I'm sure he is proud of all of his productions hardstyle or not. The reason for the hate from some is it feels as if he has turned his back on them. He hasn't, he is just living his life n doing what makes him happy. Personally I think this music he plays today is for a more commercial US market, who are more driven by image than substance. Hardstyle is a much more underground style which attracts a different crowd with a different opinion of music, and the two opinions of the crowds conflict with each other. On the grand scale of things who gives a shit, life is short, live you life, do what makes you happy!

The fact that there are still so many people saying Headhunterz is dead and shit sickens me. Let Heady do whatever the fuck he wants. If he isnt happy anymore with making hardstyle let him experiment with other genres, hes still young so let him experiment and take new paths. You can definitly tell hes very happy right now and hes getting the fame he deserves.

Headhunterz probably has the WORST fans ever... The lack of support and understandind, and amount of hate is ridiculous people! Keep in mind Heady had been making hardstyle for years... He obviously wanted to try something new - who wouldn't in his situation? It doesn't make him a sell out. I agree that most of his recent tracks have not been that great, but I still get what he's going through so no need to hate... (plus I thought "Live Your Life" was good)

I first discovered Headhunterz when he was already in the middle of his transition to House music.
The only songs I like from Heady are the hardstyle ones. His one song "Colors" honestly helped me get out of the bed in the morning. Whenever I listen to his hardstyle songs I can't help but to jump and jam out with my friends.
I know that he is in his "house stage" right now but the few hardstyle songs he does put in his sets bring me hope. I will always be a fan of the old hardstyle Heady.
I just hope he can play "Colors" at EZoo because me and the other fans that will be listening to his set will want him to play it too. I'll be there, even if he plays house, because I have immense respect for this guy, just doing what he loves.

Was there for this set...so glad he uploaded it. Best set of the weekend by far for Spring Awakening. Well...almost best set. It was definitely up there...AND it was my first time seeing him live! So glad he dropped some hardstyle. I needed more!!!

When I see you playing on stage I can hear and see so much passion, it's almost contagious.
You have had a shitload of bad reactions on your decission to change your musical path, those people are trying to look down on you but instead you are the one that is rising above them.

Miguel Filipe I think Ultra records puts lots of pressure on their DJs with hard music, to soften it up for rave girls and their parents who listen to pop dance radio. I bet Headz doesnt like most of the music in his latest sets, but he has to put that cheesy breakdown singing and Hardwell synths in there to win over the girls in the crowd, because western girls never embraced hardstyle, it was our metal rock dance genre for guys.
My analogy is that Justice found a way to keep french electro house hard, but soften it up too for the girls. Skrillex turned a mostly guys only genre in dubstep, kept the hard growls bass, but soft bells and strings for girls too. Headz gave up on his original sound in favor of business pressure to turn into more of a Garrix, Hardwell type DJ for the girls and get on the main stage. Some of these songs in the set are hardstyle w/ girls singing though for balance, so he's trying.

Headhunterz inspires me..from the music, lightshows, his studio, BMW, his mindset, etc.
I dont blame him for slowing the tempo, going more soft dutch pop, changing his hair to Garrix/Bieber style to attract rave girl$, when you have hair, you should grow it or you risk losing it...
but that group of big dutch DJs all sound the same. Headz sound stood out, he couldve changed his look, but found a way to bring hardstyle to the western masses and make something girls like too for the main stage/big rooms. His Spaceman remix i.e. Justice and Skrilex found a balance of hard noise for guys and soft sounds for the girls too, Headz couldve done the same thing, but business gets in the way, and I bet someone at Ultra, or his management, told him to just be like the other Dutch DJs, and get that pop money before this cheesy pop dutch edm bubble bursts, then harder styles will emerge if done right. Whenever cheese becomes popular, something harder comes next to replace it. Hard being French Electro--> Dubstep -->Trap-->Hardstyle...whatevers next, maybe Jungle Terror.

I thought of this earlier, but maybe it's a strategy. He stays for a couple more years by house so he can become one of the biggest DJ's in the world. Then when he reached that he goes back to hardstyle and show the world what it is. He is then so big that he can reach a immense audience. More people are getting interested and hardstyle as genre and other hardstyle dj's will grow crazy fast.

His choice, his music. Just let Headhunterz where he's musically heading, if you don't like it, there's tons of new Hardstyle artists. That's how I see it. Not a fan from the new HHZ to be honest, but I can't really blame him for leaving when I see all those comments of closed minded morons saying "RIP Headhunterz and RIP Hard style". Hard Dance Music will live and EDM got a new star. That's it.

Most producers try to make what people like EDM is the mainstream thing to listen at the moment so of course he is going to move away from HardStyle, but we shouldn't criticize . His music was EXCELLENT when he made HardStyle. His music is still great now ! At least he is not making troll music like Marin Garix . Appreciate and LOVE !
