Oh man, your multitude of Thanksgiving dinners looked amazing! My Handsome One was away in Brazil until mid Thanksgiving weekend, and came home super sick. We just did the one dinner with his parents, and no leftovers. So my mouth was watering at your many meals!!!
@cindydaniel6125 Ha Ha Ha. I offered multiple times to bring something for the first meal but they didn't want/need me to bring anything. I had to chuckle when they told the guests what the ham cost and it was incredibly inexpensive because they watched the flyers and got it on sale. ❤️❤️❤️ Life skills passed on to the next generation. Something I'm very thankful for.
I grabbed a couple of the tiny turkeys and will use them for Sunday dinners. I usually freeze the left over Turkey in 2 cup servings.I have a couple of neighbours give me their carcasses because they know I make broth.
Pumpkin Gut Soup...name would be a hit at a school cafeteria. Your cabbage roll soup looked yummy. You consistently show how a family can splurge on some things, when it balances out with savings in other others. Great video. Gobble Gobble
@kathryndockrey1477 HaHaHa. That soup is really tasty. The guts of that squash served me well. And we both really like the cabbage roll and taco repurposed into a soup. It was perfect as a totally different option and a lighter lunch on those big family meal nights. Everything worked out so well last week. Gobble Gobble. Lol
I grew some melons that my neighbor gave me for the chickens. We had a volunteer plant come it. We just let it grow. It was everywhere and I got a beautiful, giant heirloom pumpkin. What a great surprise. God is good.
@@dharma6481 It was a good week. Even though the main was the same in several of the meals, it's fun to see what other people choose as their sides. It changes everything!!
@sandrabryan9106 I should have got more taco kits. We just tried the cheese and it is so good. I totally regret not getting more. I wonder if they have any left. We haven't cooked either pie yet. There was just so much food all week. Saving it for later.
Your foods always look so yummy 😊 I love making stuffing/dressing by from scratch. Always have bread bits in my freezer 😂 I never stuff the bird though, we bake it in a dish or two. Sometimes I make it with gravy just for a chicken dinner throughout the year, whenever we fancy some stuffing
I'm single so I just got one of those 1 kg formed, pressed turkeys stuffed w stuffing/cranberries. $10 local Safeway. Good enough for 2 meals. It was perfectly fine, wouldn't hesitate to get it in the future, might just go team ham for Xmas. Those $1 pies you got were a steal of a deal..
I always love to add caramel sauce for ice cream to the top of those dutch apple pies. Its SOOO good, if you should come across a small jar of sauce on sale.
Yummy, yummy, yummy. Turkey is my absolute favorite. I sometimes just cook turkey (even if it’s not a holiday) because I love it and you can make so many things with the leftovers. We had a doozy of a thunderstorm here in Moncton on Monday night. Caused a bit of flooding (second time in a month). No big floods but man, did it storm. Thanks for another great video. Have a super weekend!
You had a good eating week! Your soup that you added leftover cabbage roll peaked my interest. I made some awhile back and froze. I’ve got one container left that I’ve avoided eating. Well there a tad too spicy , I added something to the sauce that was too much. I mean they aren’t bad, but I get acid reflux so.. but now I’m thinking use for soup and add water and broth and other things it will dilute the spicy. So thanks for giving me an idea. !!! Was worried about your dressing watching you, lol but all ended well. I make it from scratch and buy stove top. Depends on mood and what’s here. I bought 6 boxes of stove top a couple weeks ago at Shoppersfor their double points deal. They were on sale plus points worth double so 50% off. Think it made them 70 cents or so. Cheaper than the 88 at giant tiger I recall. They will last me a year likely. Great week, enjoyed the video!
@deedream10 I am so experimental with soups. I just think these will probably work together and also use up some of my dribs and draws from the fridge. Nondoubt you can dilute the spiciness of yours. Good luck.
I live in Ont and can’t buy Ont strawberries for anywhere near that price! The Colliers welsh cheese is delicious and that is a phenomenal price. I buy it at Costco all the time
@susanchoja6800 OH, I didn't recognize the brand. I'm glad to know Costco carries it. I was so surprised at the strawberries. It was definitely so.e type of crazy in store special.
@@adventuresingroceryland I ate out with my step mom but as a singleton, holidays are like that. I don’t mind getting the work done in the garden. We are having an atmospheric river this weekend so I’m glad I got some of the cleanup done last weekend. Fingers crossed that next weekend will have better weather so I can get done, and get my garlic in. 🤷♀️🤞
