Would consider Carmel , SB and Laguna. I’m considering the opposite of what others have done , Texas to Cali. Too damn hot in Texas , can’t take it any longer.

There are many older homes that need remodeling in the Santa Barbara area, lots of nice homes too, but it can be a full mix of types and condition.
