Not perfect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The writing feels significantly better (so far) than a lot of the previous Star Wars shows. Besides the ship taking off easily, the characters and their choices don’t feel convoluted. The stakes feel urgent and real. The mystery about the planet is especially interesting to me. It’s also a new story and not a rehash of something we’ve already seen.
Yes, exactly. All of this. 🙂 What I think I appreciated the most in the first two episodes is that we feel the stakes. There is an urgency that feels like more than just connecting the dots within the story, which is something that we see with a lot of Disney stories lately. It just "feels" different, which definitely gives me hope for the rest of the series.
You said the word 'SIGNAL.' The word signal gives me hope as well. However, that same word, 'SIGNAL,' can also be associated with Virtue Signal, which Disney often uses, to the great dismay of Star Wars fans, when it turns out that Star Wars is being used as a vehicle for woke political agendae. Time will tell.
Yeah... we'll have to see how the series as a whole pans out. And you are right about the word signal... which is so frustrating because it's a good word for so many things, but now it means so many OTHER things that it's becoming problematic. In any case, I am really hopeful about this series, especially after episode 3. It feels like they are really leaning into the story on this one and the story vibe feels a lot like The Clone Wars, which I loved! Here's to hoping that they don't let us down ... again!
Is Disney getting it right with Skeleton Crew? Let me know what you think.
are you related to Carrie Fisher ? because you look like a young Carrie
@@leiamorris4575 You just made my favorite comment of the year! Thank you!!! 🙂 💙

Hopefully common sense will put good story telling ahead of everything else and return the franchise to better days
THIS ^^^^ ... we can only hope! Sigh... 🙂

Kathleen Kennedy wanted a "win" and this is it. Now she can do all of us a favor and RETIRE immediately!
Yeahhhhh..... take the win Kathleen! It really is time for her to step down and give a little oxygen to the Star Wars universe.
