What a great match. SPOILER WARNING I cant believe Bright got it over CP at the end there. CP had her number for the entire dream breaker until that moment.
Now I haven't done the math on it, and idk exactly where she put the weight....BUT in Dynamics there is this thing called the parallel axis theorem that basically says that the force needed to accelerate something is both a function of the moment of inertia as well as the distance from the applied force to the center of gravity. I know that it seems counterintuitive, but if the weight is placed in a way that moves the center of gravity closer to her wrist muscles, then it absolutely makes sense that it would decrease the rotational resistance of the paddle, causing it to be faster.
@@matthewfabian189 I get that part of it to some degree, but that is only applicable for flick shots which if you watch film is a very small portion of the game as most shots in PB are not very wrist involved. Counters at the kitchen will not be faster having to Move a heavier paddle around like a shield.

Totally agree! I thought CP had it in the bag! Goes to show how important the mental game is
Hilarious that the commentator Monica believes that Adding weight to the handle makes the paddle faster.
