Popping in and out the subharmonics as a layer in certain points was a great touch. I tend to get hung up on playing with cutoff and the envelope and I forget that there's other choices for more variety there.
Great work! I just received my Subharmonicon from Bax, and I’m looking forward to trying to recreate this track as a way of learning. Excited to play with my Subharmonicon over the weekend!
Oh boy. Just as I have written off the subharmonicon as my next 'gadget to get', youtube shows me this monster jam! (One of) The best performances I have seen (heard) with the Subharmonicon. While the track and sound in general is SUPER DOPE, the transition @ 1:30 - 1:35 is SUPER DUPER DOPE .. HOLY F the sound of this setup is truly addicting. I have been lurking to get into modular setups for some time now and I can't resist any longer .. thanks for the inspiration.
It's a nice piece, but this isn't really a modular set up though, is it? In the sense that most people use that term, anyway. It's an unpatched Subharmonicon and a standalone drum/sampler box..
Nice bro! Some of the other Sub H vids aren’t good AT ALL.... you rock on this, a very good salesman for the Sub H where as many others made me questioning the product, there is no question that the Sub H can ROCK if played by the right musician. Nice demo man!
Oh man!..This takes me to early days of Techno,as there were some rare gems thumping around at that time. When it really was how the tune moved you,NOT! some poser,DJ wanna b.Must say your timing and structure is rather nice, dropping the needed Hits of bass, cuts and filtering at the right moment! Not clocked with the digitakt? Unsincronized jam? Very cool! Im struggling w/ the subh because I cant clock it without midi screwing the internal sequencer

Hi, great jam! How do you sync the Subharmonicon with the digitakt? Also, how do you achive pattern changes on the SH, as on 1:32 and on the main break? Did you program notes on the DT?
Hi! Thanks for your comment. Digitakt syncs to midi, since subh has a midi input. The sequencer was used by moog. The moment you described is just a change in the attack of the envelope generator of filter.
Hi! Distortion wasn't used. From external effects are compression, delay, reverb only. It's all about the Sub H mixer itself. At the maximum value of the knobs, it adds drive to the oscillators.
@@fet3665 Yea that's in the mixer circuitry I assume? I know that's what I love about the Grandmother sound, the drive when you pump the gain in the mixer.
