    Brian - Adam is DEFINITELY the right guy for this job! Even his presentation was well done and jam-packed with a more-than-slightly ridiculous amount of good information! All of us appreciate him and his team's efforts.
    Adam - I do NOT want you to leave the Goulets /ever/ but I do have another job assignment for you. It would be far more than full time though. Please open a school for Amazon's package fulfillment centers!!!
    Btw: I kinda miss the abundance of blue wrap material. It was so "Goulet" :)

    The comments about former “overuse” of tape gave me a laugh! Years ago I sent several boxes of marketing collateral and other items for our booth with a new partner at a big photo trade show. Our great shipping team sent the big electronics and other special items. When I received what was left of my marketing materials after the show, there was quite a LOT of tape “protecting the cartons.” The next time I talked with our partner about the success at the trade show, I thanked him for the substantial tape on all edges of the boxes. I was giving what I meant to be a sincere compliment. He replied, “Oh, we were just getting back at you!” I think that was the last time I “overtaped” any package. The Goulet team has it “just right.” Thank you!

    I always watch the Write On videos, even if I think the topic is not of super interest to me. Since I have been a customer of Goulet Pens for over three years, I didn't expect to be overly enlightened by today's topic, but Adam provided a ridiculously informative look at the fulfillment system, and I learned from it. Thank you.

    It’s really great that all the staff refer to to the Goulet Pen company as our company. Everyone seems so happy and content. I’m in Australia and really appreciate the new shipping rates. Just about your bubble wrap, my granddaughters love bubble wrap and when yours arrived I gave it to them, watching them trying to pop it was too funny, they weren’t very impressed.

    I loved the way my items come, packed so well! Glad you aren't using so much tape. I've been shopping with you through the evolution of you packing techniques. The current bubble wrap is fabulous! I am reusing it to pack up glass, etc., for my impending move. Not as much blue plastic wrap. But I love the blue! And always so accurate. Never is my order in a box bigger than necessary. Honestly, your fulfillment team is one of the reasons I buy everything I can from you. And NO packing peanuts!!! EVER! Your store, team, company is a class act. Really, I love GPC!!!Thank you for all that you do to get our items to us in perfect condition. Thank you for the care.

    Pro-tip for the recycle / reuse minded out there - Goulet Values cards, if you have oily / sweaty hands or are writing with a pen that can be touchy about even trace oils on the page (looking at you Pilot Custom 912 with FA nib...) use the values card as a page protector.

    Perfect timing, as I received my new pen, and indeed found the contents packed as described. The box itself was crushed, beaten, and bashed. The pen, perfect! Thanks, and great job! On a side note, of all my fountain pens I have, some inexpensive, others not so inexpensive 250 bucks is about my Squeal point. But my honey loves my latest acquisition as though it’s spoken to her. Crazy! The twsbi eco clear (f) I can’t believe it, she actually wants a fountain pen and it’s only going to cost me a few buck! Awesome!!

    I know you said that the bubble wrap was recyclable; but, is it biodegradable? When I used to order from Drs. Foster and Smith, the products I order would be shipped in packing peanuts. They were made in house and I think one of the customer service people told me that they were made from some kind of plant material. Anyway, they were green and and looked and felt like white packing peanuts; but, they would dissolve completely in water. I could even dig them into the soil where my flowers were planted. I never saw any problems in the health of my flowers.

    • @Gouletpens
      @Gouletpens  6 лет назад +1

      Donna G so I alluded to some green bubbles we tried years ago, those were biodegradeable and we really tried to make them work. But they were twice the price, worked half as well (more damage in shipping) and we had a lot of waste because the bubbles just didn’t stay inflated, so we had to use twice as much material. It felt more wasteful using it. We searched for all local suppliers of it and found nothing that worked. The current ones we use aren’t as biodegradeable, unfortunately, the recyclable was the best we were able to find given all factors of economy, local availability, and performance. I know the peanuts you’re talking about, they’re made from corn starch. But I hate peanuts so much, and they don’t protect small, fragile products like ours very well. -brian

    ALWAYS have your FedEx packages held. They are known for throwing packages, not delivering them at all and when unloading their planes and trucks, standing on packages just search youtube for 'fedex mishandling packages' or look up all the BBB complaints. FedEx tracking is also horrific. This is part of why GPC has to have the slightly ridiculous amount of care when packaging. For those of you that do not know, FedEx is contracted by the USPS to handle a good deal of their interstate and international transport.

    • @Gouletpens
      @Gouletpens  6 лет назад +1

      bmmcwhirt it’s going to vary a lot based on your local delivery carriers. FedEx contracts out their delivery folks so your mileage may vary. Fwiw we haven’t had statistically significant variance in FedEx damage of our packages vs USPS, so it’s best just to pick whichever carrier you’re comfortable with. That’s why we like giving options. -brian

    Hello Goulet-Team!
    *_Questions:_* Which inks would you recommend for regular use that are not from noodler's?
    Which are some pretty inks that are not from noodler's? (Like a green / blue / turquoise / purple-ish / lilac-ish)
    You might ask: Not from noodler's??? Why... They are great inks! ~ We don't get them in Europe... They are sometimes extremely expensive...
    Does Diamine Turquoise shade more than Lamy Turquoise? Are there some differences between these inks?
    No Questions from here anymore in the text...
    I recently got into fountain pens, like 5 days ago. Since I'm done with school and about to study German Tax Law I wanted to get a fountain pen. And I got myself a Lamy Viste EF with the standard Lamy blue Ink and the black converter. I'm also going to buy a TWSBI ECO EF and a bunch of Jinhao 922 for ink testing... Or just having some different inks in them since I'm going to have 2 main pens. I also want to get myself the Diamine Woodland green and the Turquoise... Does Diamine Turquoise shade more than Lamy Turquoise? Are there any major differences?
    Thank you for giving us so much information about fountain pens! And respecting people that are new to the "Hobby/Lifestyle"!
    Greetings from Germany!!!

      Lukas Hei Ich finde es sieht ein wenig künstlich aus (habe es aber noch nicht in Natura gesehen). Ist es vergleichbar mit dem Farbton wie er im Video von "Sort of Interesting" zu sehen ist? Tendiere irgendwie zu dem Diamine Woodland green. Es wirkt schön kräftig.

      Hey there - I personally love anything from Diamine, Pilot Iroshizuku, and Robert Oster. Diamine Marine or Robert Oster Tranquility come to mind. Monteverde Charoite is one of my favorite purple inks. I've experienced more shading with Lamy Turquoise than Diamine Turquoise, but you'll see some in both. Hope that helps! -Margaret
