The way you spoke about you wondering if the industry and designers will accept and welcome the new you made almost cry it was beautiful and vulnerable and also very very important to teach women that being you, taking care of you is ok, because you where worried that while you made significant changes for your physical and emotional health it would impact your career and livelihood and it all came full circle when you got called for fittings and booked shows. I an internet stranger am absolutely full of joy and super proud of you! You got this girl! You got it!
This industry promotes ED. I was in it in the 70's and had a love hate with it. I decided to walk. Best of luck.

I'm wondering if you stil get scouted when you're out and about - I mean do model scouts see you and assume you already work as a model?? Could be a fun challenge?? See if scouts try to scout you??

So models always have to have that unfed starving to the bones look? Just asking when you mentioned gaining weight.
Yes. Plus she had been deep in a restrictive ED so a model (when the industry tends to promote and ask for underweight models) verbally saying that gaining weight and being healthy is better than starving for a job, is a big deal. I also clarify restrictive ED because there are other kinds of EDs such as binge eating.
Ultra skinny may be less important than confidence and comfort in one's self!.

Good to know that you've gained some weight to a much healthier weight and designers still consider or use you. After a couple of decades of models looking so emaciated and anorexic it's about time! I'm glad that at least some designers are willing to be a little more realistic and using models that once upon a time were considered too big (unbelievable, really). The super models of the 90s like Cindy, Linda, Naomi, Christy, etc were thin but they looked healthy. Then after that you had the Kate Mosses that were just skin and bone and that became the "beautiful" benchmark....I seriously wanted to throw a burger at them and tell them to eat if I could. So I stopped buying fashion magazines and wasn't even remotely interested at even looking at designer clothes because I sure as hell did not like what I saw even though I was thin at the time myself but I wasn't a walking skeleton. I didn't want to support an industry that forced women to look so weak and sickly. But you look waaaay better now and I'm happy the fashion industry is (slowly) changing for the better.

some fashion shows are for "ready to wear" clothes, aka clothes you can just buy in a store and it's a way to advertise. there also exist couture shows, which are more for art for the sake of art rather than convenient clothing. hope that helps!
