I wanted to test the ftk at locals. Won the dice roll twice never opened well enough to pull it off/needing it. When you get handtrapped it feels so much worse to play it. Ended up going undefeated but almost ran out of ED monsters to summon in the last match. I'd much rather have a more toolboxy extra than 2 to 3 cards that are completely useless going 2nd or going into the grind game.
I feel you hold yourself back if you play the FTK version. Mana seems capable of doing way cooler things than going into Calamity. OTKs are more based AF anyways ;D
Have you considered the new revolution synchron package instead of the prisma one? I'm testing the deck with that package and also the 2 fenrir + scareclaw kash as of now
I dont know, if im playing the ftk im lacking some extra deck space and its a bit of a bummer but if I'm not playing the ftk why am I playing this deck instead of, say, rikka sunavalon or something.
That's fair enough, I personally feel like when I play this deck I have so many different options and a lot of flexibility with my plays - compared to something like rikka sunavalon where everyone knows you need to go through the sunavalon loci combo to really get going
Nice video my guy! Circling back on the original argument about FTK being worth it or not, you're not really considering WHY calamity lock is interesting. The main thing we're looking for with Calamity is being able to build a situation that stops the opponent from playing EVEN IF they break the board. Some commonly run boardbreakers that demolish the boards you've presented: x2 Book of Eclipse, x2 DRNM, Lava golem/sphere mode. I 100% agree that it's not healthy for such a lock to exist but you're explicitely making a weaker board vs generic boardbreakers for the sake of having 2 spots in the ED for flexibility. It's up to preference at this point. I just want to clarify that you can't say that calamity is a strictly worse version of the deck.
I play both builds and the calamities lock is a very delicate combo that can be easily stopped Edit: it also takes up 3 spaces in your ED that can be used for other cards like Icejade lvl 10, chaos angel, stardust dragon, crystal wing, swordsoul etc.. Psy frame Omega combo is more interesting and much more consistant than calamities IMHO
Generic board breakers and win the game handtraps need to go. I’m so sick of games being ended by a single evenly matched, or Nibiru the primal being. One car should not win you the game.
Bro I hate this ftk to play (I am playing Brave Synchron) and I feel like these type of decks only win by going first. They really do struggle at breaking boards
Not hating on the deck since I'm building it as well, but all the strategies as a whole need a overhaul in my opinion. How it would be fixed...I don't entirely know since it would most likely rely on something that doesn't exist in the game yet.
@Thirstea1305 Noone that has topped a real event with Mana e en recommended to play card because oh all their new support. Your comment sure has aged well.
First off it's not an ftk it is a shut ur opponent down play, only thing that they can do is ether have a trap deck or super poly and honestly if u think they might run it don't make abomination, then there still locked for turn, I also run arcana force and shadow's light because thst a lagitimate turn skip lol, and quite easy to make, ur combos are pre dune combos don't get me wrong there good but calimity lock is far more broken, also running 2 reframing is also a good idea based on ur hand u can grt 2 down on top of the combo
Clearly my thoughts on this is.. I don't like FTK cause .. they're not healthy for the game and.. it's a game about 2 players , not just about 1 player who go solitaire on his deck and.. even without watching your video , i prefer a standard mannadium deck with good endboard than that stupid FTK..
I just find the ftk boring. I couldn't even get myself to sit down and learn it. I much prefer just going into my Barrone, Dis Pater, Appollosa, and Qixing Longyuan board. Consistent as fuck and at least my opponent gets a chance to try and break my board. If i wanted to just win with no challenge id just play solitaire.

Yup, thats exactly how I felt as well after testing it, it feels too unrealistic to always pull it off
Stick to winning I would keep the ftk

This is why mine is a necessary evil for this game
Just because you can do the Calamity lock doesn't mean you should

I don't think that revolution synchron is needed personally, but I can see why people play it
the ftk makes me side deck sphere mode
from where are youre extra deck sleeves with that pattern on the front???
They're character guards, you can find them on amazon

It's minimum 2 cards

.....what are you saying
TOP G!
And yet ppl cry about mystic mine but an ftk deck is ok🤔
The hero lives engine is just so bad its not worth running yet you say calamity ftk sucks... such a flawded opinion
You're expressing your own opinion without giving justifications and bashing other's for that very same reason ?
