My score dropped about 5. PT’s Mid 150’s. High of 159. Official 149. Was very shocked! Felt screwed. Glad it wasn’t just me. Retaking in September or October. See ya, LG!
I received a 156 despite PT'ing around 170. I felt like I got a 170-174 after the test. I personally think LSAC and/or Prometric made a mistake. I can't justify in my mind how I got a 156.
@@UnpluggedPrep Thanks. I think I have a very good guess what happened: LSAC scored the version of the test that I took out of four rather than three scored sections. If you look at the raw score corresponding to the score I thought I got (67-68, meaning around a 171), and take that out of four scored sections for 100-101 raw score points as in pre-COVID LSATs, you get the scored I received on May 1st: 156. The version of the test I took is being reported on a Reddit thread as having a 15-20 point drop in what test takers expected. The version was taken on Saturday, at a Prometric testing facility, and had the sections: 2 LR: 1 scored (I think) with the squid shooting ink in the fish tank and one unscored, 1 LG with photographers as the final game, and the RC section with a passage about Frederick Douglass.
I was scoring on my PTs between 163-167 and I scored a 165 on the April. Based on how hard I felt the test was compared to my PTs I predicted my score would be a 164-166 so it was right on.
@@UnpluggedPrep do you think since logic games are going away, they’ll release the ones from April to the public? I’d like to try to approach that last one with more time just for funsies.
I was doing 150’s on practice and got a 148. The LSAT has a 2.5 point difference I did feel like I was prepared and expected a higher score based off the questions so we will see what happens
I’m not familiar with the lsac system. Took once last November and registered on this june as my second time. I am wondering what should we expect to happen when the number of people taking lsat this June is double (compared to the average) Does it mean that it will be harder for people to score a higher grade or nothing extreme would happen?
The number of test-takers doesn't necessarily mean anything extreme would happen except possibly an overloaded Prometric system. However, LSAC added an additional date to help with scheduling which should hopefully mitigate issues.
I think the thing no one is addressing the one LG that so many test takers got all wrong. The last LG for one of the LG sections on April LSAT was honestly insane. I think that alone could account for a lot of people who tend to follow resources like this. I say this because it tends to be the case that LG is usually -0 thru -3 for people who do a lot of LSAT prep compared to the other sections.
Nope. I had the easier logic games section (yachts and cameras). Finished with 8 minutes and was able to go back and check all questions I was slightly unsure of. It was people with this set of logic games that generally have had problems according to reddit.
That could have affected some, but as another commenter pointed out, not everyone has the same LG (or LR or RC). LSAC uses multiple test forms for each administration.
@@UnpluggedPrep I finally did, I got a 157. I’m glad I improved from my diagnostic of a 145, but I’ve been dreaming of going back to my Alma mater, FSU, for law and their median is a 165 😅 August here we go I guess

Sorry to hear -- give it everything you've got for the fall!

I wouldn't expect it - they seem focused on the new format, but I wish they would!
Do you think June is going to run into this same problem?
Impossible to say!

They've actually increased the margin (score band) to be 4 points on each end!
I’m signed up to take it in June. Would you recommend my taking any action in light of this situation?
Yes, study more to get your scores higher

Wow that’s crazy
Yeah, it is. Hoping the June LSAT results will be more predictable for everyone.
@@UnpluggedPrep yea I’m supposed to be taking the June test but now I’m scared
I hear that -- try to see this as fuel to get your PT scores even higher to have more of a buffer
The same thing happened to me. I was scoring in the 150's on the pre-test and dropped 10 points when I actually felt I did better.
Sorry to hear it -- thats awful!
More people signed up for the June LSAT I feel like there will be a huge curve then 35,000 people have signed up for what I’ve seen on a Reddit post
Approx 36,000 registered for June, which is double the # who registered for June last year
I'm taking the June LSAT for this 2023-2024 cycle, and was hoping that they wouldn't do this.
Fingers crossed things go better in June!
I’m not able to see my score yet cuz I’m taking the written portion today but now I don’t want to 😅
I hear that but you've got to rip off the Band-Aid sometime! :)

With the silent recession, it doesn't pay for them to be giving out so many scholarships. 😀
With the upcoming demographic cliff, they may not be able to afford it
@@UnpluggedPrep demographic cliff?
Test must of been insane or there was no curve.
Quite possibly - unfortunately, they won't release this information
