I would love it if you could share it on social media. If I have enough interest I'd love to go back and rent a bike for much longer to explore the smaller villages.
Good to see a video consentrate on South Goa for a change, I stayed in Colva back in the early 1990s for 3 years of and on it was my favourite place in Goa fairly quiet then and cheap, did go to Palolem at that time there was only one shack on the beach and that was just of the main dirt road there was no shops, restaurants, bars ect unbelievabley quite, went back in 1999 for honeymoon O boy what a change. I mainly ate at Mathews Kentukee bar back then, I believe it's still going.
Nicely done vlog. The white sand part is actually depending on which month you come. Some months it’s like a carpet of white sand and the water turns super blue.
It has yoga retreats on it and vegetarian food. I would Definitely stay there over Palolem, which was also great but a bit more developed so you really feel like a tourist on vacation.
I’m from palolem I grew up there but I have been living in New York from last couple of years that’s why I was checking videos if I can see anything has been changed in palolem so I saw your video and I loved it you have really showed right things and all information you gave is correct. I saw lots of other videos and I see some people just say whatever comes in their mind which is not true but your video is very informative, Thanks for sharing!
Go to south east Asia instead. Far better accommodation for the same price, also much cleaner and safer. Goa died about 20 years ago. I do not recommend it. Take your money elsewhere where you will be more welcome and treated far better.
Been going to Goa for 21 years, mainly staying on Mobor beach in Cavellosim. But you have it Spot on, our favourite beach is Patnem, great vibe and laid back.
Wonderful places and video! Thank you for sharing! I was in India twice and loved it there. I recommend hydrating with fresh coconut water and watermelons and natural fruit/vegetable juice. The industrial sugars in drinks do reduce your body's and your skin's natural capability to react to heat and intense sunlight, while active enzymes and minerals help with that. Greetings from Germany 💜
i love goa .spent many a winter there and around india generally.i have good friends in palolem so its my first stop and then i go to arumbul.if your going to rent a bike you need to get an international licence before travelling otherwise the police will fine you.this lasts a year and costs about 10 pound from any uk post office.the yellow plates are for goa and the white plates if you want to go outside goa.im planning to go in october till april.will probabaly go to dharamsala at the end of February. di you meet sahin the rickshaw driver.thanks for the video
Thanks so much. The music is actually royalty free through epidemic sound for content creators. But if you make videos I have a link in my description.
🤩🤩🤩 wau thank you very very much for this intense and openminded and relaxing, compassionate vlog about palolem and around!! for us so well done, we immediately decided today, to go there in April
it winds down at the end of febuary.its too how then.people head north to the mountains .if you go in april everybody will be leaving or have already lef as its too hot
They are shacks or make shift tents Mostly they build it in sept-oct and then destroyer them before raining season start in may-june Tourist season is mainly between November to February Black yellow number plate is aways in law but police increase fine in past 2-3 years and strict law And the price of hotels bike rental are higher in peak season even the some restaurants in goa have different prices of season
Thank you. Ive just returned from candolim and now looking to go back to the south. Why do people go into sea when the sewers are all pumped into it? Also, are scooters available to rent locally?
candolim is the worst part of goa.all british expats and boozers.my first trip to goa was there and i hated candolim.was very relieved to get out to other parts of goa like palolem and arumbul
Its really good and informative video..Please update the contact details of place where you stayed and really helpful for other people who will plan for goa tour.
This was bitter sweet for me to watch. I spenta long time in India... 9 months in Palolem back in 2000/2001 I carn beleive how much i'ts changed wowow x
I was thinking much the same. When I first went to Palolem there were 2 chia stands, one shack and a couple of cafe`s. It was 1984 though and things have changed.
We made the rookie mistake of renting an illegal motorbike and got stopped by the police, but they did not fine us, just the owner, and we had to get a tuc tuc back.
This is how it should be as tourists don’t know any better. Even for us when we went back and looked at the video the initial bike someone tried to rent us had the wrong plates. We didn’t know at the time and actually didn’t go with then because they wanted to charge a ridiculous amount for a second helmet so we got a weird vibe from them thinking they’d also try to pin some scratches or other damages on us.
Really stuck in Arambol, want to get out of here. The beaches and restaurants are so dirty and so much crowd and the restaurant prices are at the highest levels in 10 years. Even the locals are so arrogant and aggresive when speaking, can feel the bad vibes.
One of the things I didn’t realize before visiting was just how large Goa is. I was dumb and didn’t even realize there were two airports. But I’ve also heard the south is better than the north if that helps?
Oh I definitely hold up that stereotype! But I have a hard time negotiating with women who own businesses. Something similar happened in Vietnam where she countered that the price right now is the lowest in the year so I relented.
@@ayngelina you should have seen me at Saigon Central Market. I did it just for shits and giggles 🤭. I would fill my pockets with hard candies, before going. They would say a price. I would make a terrible sound of Noooo. I then would offer them 50%. In the end, I offered them about 70% and a candy! Pulled out my Dongs and started to pay them, without waiting for an acceptance. Worked every time, but once!
I just went there and was shocked because I'd heard the real price was half of their initial offer but it's really at least 75% off - according to what people shouted as I walked away.
@@ayngelina well you live and learn. Glad to see you made it to Vietnam and Malaysia. I’m taking the credit for that! Have fun and try not to eat too much!
@@ayngelina Yeah I'm just asking why have you chosen a Veena( typical indian musical instrument) to be in the background. It's such a beautiful video except for stereotypical music. That veena distracts the whole vibe of that place
Goa is my ancestral home. Always proud to tell people where I'm from and I visit as much as I can. Greetings from cool, rainy Toronto!

As a Canadian I didn’t know Goa was that big, bad research on my part but I did like Palolem though I think more development is inevitable.
Gives me a good impression about the beaches. And your warnings about riding on a bike is appreciated. Thanks for sharing. Greeting from NL.
