Im 37 and still get bullied because of how I look. I have a lazy eye and ppl call me ugly all the time. I always try to think of positive things and not let ppl get me down. I have to tell myself that God loves me actually as I am and other ppls opinions dont matter.

I could so relate. I recently had to get delivered from the Spirit of Rejection because I had experienced so many traumatic periods in my life and because I didn't fully understand God's love and the way in which God looked at me I always seeked to be validated etc. Now that I've experienced God's love I'm being changed and transformed especially in the way that I look at myself. Now calling myself worthy,loved and chosen. ❤❤

This really hits home. I see myself as flawed. Growing up, my mother would always cursed me out and yelled at me she never said I love you. I always felt like I could do nothing right. As a kid I was bullied a little, but instead of letting them know my feeling were hurt, I would make fun of myself to try to beat them to the punch. I never wanted anyone to be mad at me. I'm a people pleaser. I never felt pretty, or heard, or valued and most times I still don't. This has affected my relationship with my husband and my children. I have a problem being vulnerable with anyone including them and I have a difficult time connecting with my children. I know I need God's help to fix what's broken in me and to mend my relationships. I fear that because of this I have created insecurities in my children, which is something I NEVER wanted to do. Please pray for God to move in my life in a mighty way to help me especially in this area with my family.
I will be praying over your life and that of your kids Erika. God sees the wounds that have been afflicted on you through your past, and his heart breaks for the things you had to go through. I'm sorry also to hear these horrible things. Nobody should grow up like that. Please know that God is a miracle worker! He sees your willing heart to receive healing. As a daughter of a woman who is flawed and have made me flawed and slowly learning to love myself, I would suggest praying and being completely honest to God and your family about your insecurities. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing about your traumatic experience of being bullied at school. I salute your Mum for making every effort to move schools to protect you. GOD bless her. She loves you. Almighty GOD restore your relationship with her. I’m 54 and mixed race raised by my Xhosa Mum. During apartheid in South Africa a mixed race or “Coloured” person couldn’t attend an ethnic African school. So family friends ‘adopted’ me to give me an English surname in order to be enrolled into a so-called ‘Coloured’ school. All this to protect me from being bullied in a school for ethnic African children, because of how I looked. I’m surprised to learn this is still happening. How sad to be bullied because of one’s racial makeup. Maybe a topic for future a future Faith Talk? In South Africa mixed race/ so-called “Coloureds” face subtle discrimination/bullying from ethnic Africans. We are referred to as amalawu / uncultured people. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct thy paths.”
Im going thru the same thing. I dont feel confident bc I attach my confidence to my appearance. I'm very short (4"11), have a baby face and my body is also very petite (not at all voluminous) so im often mistaken as a child or a young teenager. But I know the truth that it's not our outward appearance that qualifies us, but God's righteousness & power.

Listening to this video and this is sooooo connected to last weeks faith talks… because of my self esteem I was in a 10 year relationship with a narcissist, well not a relationship, a marriage! I did not leave until YAH changed me! It’s a lot to tell in my story but this relationship was so bad I end up in a mental institution and even tried to end my own life more than once! YAH took me through an amazing process, I am no longer in medication, after that YAH changed the way I dressed, then He got me to stop wearing make up, my skin started glowing like glass! Today I know exactly what go I am not because of who people or the world say I am but because of who Abba says I am and with that I have no desire to be like the world, I have no interest in acting like the world and when I’m told I’m weird, narrow minded, unfashionable I rejoice because that only means I am more like Yahusha and less like the world! Furthermore when you understand who you are at the eyes of Abba you will not accept just any relationship! Someone asked me what I want in a relationship and I said YAH and they asked what kind a man I want and I answer the man that will give his life for me like Yahusha gave his life for the church! This same person said “ok I’m not interested” 😂

I was always chubbier than all of my friends and got bullied a lot in school. I am asian and live in germany btw. So, from an early age on I also struggled with some identity issues because I felt alien. In asia there was no difference. I always got the stares and those side-eyes. I am in Tokyo right now and yesterday the enemy just constantly attacked me with negative thoughts and emotions about myself and really tried to push me down (because I was comparing myself to that asian beauty standard). And then your video shows up on my youtube page! Thank the Lord for reminding me to see myself through HIS eyes. That he already perfected me and when HE, the Almighty, is with me who should I be afraid of? Thank you so much Deborah. So interesting. I have only been "overweight" since adulthood. As a child and teen I was always slim. I am learning to love this body. Sometimes my words and attitude say the opposite and I notice people's reaction to me, they will often say "why do you say that about yourself, no you're not what you say." This shows me that people don't see me in the negative way I see myself. It isn't easy but I'm learning to see myself the way Jesus see me ❤ I am beautiful, I am wise, I am loved and worthy of love. I am unique. I am intelligent.

Hey Deborah! So my school days I would never like to relive because I literally had very few friends I myself was spoken about at school because of the way I looked ! So now as an adult I have grown into self confidence I don’t need anyone’s approval , I’m confident in my skin. I have never cared about what people’s opinion of me were as long as I’m carrying myself the way Christ wants me to. But I was very unpopular at school it did suck but I learned to love myself and be around people who genuinely wants to be around me. 5:05 yo, this is crazy to me the last few weeks I felt like I could relate to everything you were talking about, but this right here is the craziest one. My anxiety about what people are saying about me is so bad I cannot even enjoy myself properly when I go out anymore. I have resorted to ordering everything online from groceries to food Just to avoid the stress. I recently got a new job and it causes me to be around a lot more people and there's this one spot that I've been to about five times where people are closer than the rest of places and I can't even think straight to do my job. Yes it's that bad. It feels good to know that I'm not the only one going through this. Yes mine is much worse but it's still good to know. Thank you
I completely understand the anxiety about people whispering and chuckling. My self image has gotten so low from school, social media, and my family’s expectations. And I had a bit of a realization the other day that I was letting my atmosphere change me, making more quiet or things of the sort instead of walking into a room with the full understanding that I’m the daughter of a king so why am I so scared? Deborah, I’ve been asking myself this question for months and see how it’s affected my relationships around me and the way I act on my actions, whether that’d be at work, school, and serving at church. My confidence is definitely affected by the way I see myself, and on the outside I portray someone people see that’s not really me. I struggle with speaking up and socializing cause I’ve struggled with voice issues for years that haven’t been resolved, which plays a huge role in my confidence and the way I see myself. Struggling in the psychological area doesn’t help too since I grew up with anxiety. I’m healing from it and it makes me sad knowing my relationships are weak cause of it, but I know God knows my struggles so I have hope he’ll redeem all of these areas. I realised one time that I had gotten so used to getting good compliments from my family and friends that when I don’t receive that I would feel less than or maybe I had done something terribly wrong or feel less beautiful. I had to stop waiting on those compliments and look to God for approval and once He approved, that was all I needed to put a smile on my face

i swear having to unlearn what youve been told about yourself is SOOOO hard because stepping into adulthood you carry these notions and people start "confirming" them and you take comfort in all that abuse. Its so crazy how bullying affects a person, but the more i speak about my experience and working towards changing, i realize here and there that those people had a problem with themselves cze i set a standard that they couldnt attain, so they wanted to stoop me low to their level.

I, too, was bullied around that same age for being overweight. I was either completely ignored or verbally abused by my peers and I have to say, it really caused a lot of issues that I'm still working through in my thirties because I'm realizing how, even though I lost all the weight at 20 years old and people completely changed how they treated me, I still carry social anxiety and low self esteem around with me because of how I was treated in those pivotal years for developing your self image. I have struggled with disordered eating and overexercising because of the fear of ever going back to being subjected to the worst sides of people completely unsolicited...a complete stranger came up to me in the mall and called me a fat pig...I mean, really?? Thank you for drawing attention to this issue about how it can steal our lives from us..I know I struggle to show up for myself and out in the world the way I want to because of these really early experiences.
bro… u dont know how MUCH you’ve helped me. I’ve known God for essentially my entire life but ive never actually had a good relationship with the guy. Let alone be a “good christian”. I have really bad trust issues and I just dont trust God fully yet… ofc I believe I am saved but when it comes down to life situations, it is just so against me to put my fate in someone elses hands. Let alone someone I don’t know that well… I just wanted to thank you for your faith because it is really inspiring and beginning to help me put of my situation…
You’re absolutely not alone in this! Let’s be honest: it’s hard to place our trust in someone we can’t see in the physical 🤷🏽♀️. But God is super patient, he’ll never force you to trust him. I don’t think you understand how much I relate to this. The enemy has been coming at me so hard this week and bring up old words that came against me in school and in my family. I’ve been in prayer about it and these weeks have just been rough. Thank you for speaking about this. I know my identity but fighting the words of the enemy has been hard. I needed this thank you.
I know the feeling sis! It' so so hard out here lets be honest! But it helps and takes the pressure off ourselves when we start to realise the fact that we can't fight these things on our own. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, Matthew 26:41. We're not fighting alone! Stay in the word, be equips with that armour and remember who you are: An amazing loved daughter of the king of the universe!!! It doesn't get any better than that sis 🤗

I've also dealt with comfort eating when it comes to sweets, cakes etc. It's not easy to overcome that! But we need God's help, he knows we can't do it in our own strength. Im 37 and still get bullied because of how I look. I have a lazy eye and ppl call me ugly all the time. I always try to think of positive things and not let ppl get me down. I have to tell myself that God loves me actually as I am and other ppls opinions dont matter.

I could so relate. I recently had to get delivered from the Spirit of Rejection because I had experienced so many traumatic periods in my life and because I didn't fully understand God's love and the way in which God looked at me I always seeked to be validated etc. Now that I've experienced God's love I'm being changed and transformed especially in the way that I look at myself. Now calling myself worthy,loved and chosen.

This really hits home. I see myself as flawed. Growing up, my mother would always cursed me out and yelled at me she never said I love you. I always felt like I could do nothing right. As a kid I was bullied a little, but instead of letting them know my feeling were hurt, I would make fun of myself to try to beat them to the punch. I never wanted anyone to be mad at me. I'm a people pleaser. I never felt pretty, or heard, or valued and most times I still don't. This has affected my relationship with my husband and my children. I have a problem being vulnerable with anyone including them and I have a difficult time connecting with my children. I know I need God's help to fix what's broken in me and to mend my relationships. I fear that because of this I have created insecurities in my children, which is something I NEVER wanted to do. Please pray for God to move in my life in a mighty way to help me especially in this area with my family.
I will be praying over your life and that of your kids Erika. God sees the wounds that have been afflicted on you through your past, and his heart breaks for the things you had to go through. I'm sorry also to hear these horrible things. Nobody should grow up like that. Please know that God is a miracle worker! He sees your willing heart to receive healing. May our Heavenly Father be kind to you, and take you by the hand to walk this road of healing.

I salute your Mum for making every effort to move schools to protect you. GOD bless her. She loves you. Almighty GOD restore your relationship with her. I’m 54 and mixed race raised by my Xhosa Mum. During apartheid in South Africa a mixed race or “Coloured” person couldn’t attend an ethnic African school. So family friends ‘adopted’ me to give me an English surname in order to be enrolled into a so-called ‘Coloured’ school. All this to protect me from being bullied in a school for ethnic African children, because of how I looked. I’m surprised to learn this is still happening. How sad to be bullied because of one’s racial makeup. Maybe a topic for future a future Faith Talk? In South Africa mixed race/ so-called “Coloureds” face subtle discrimination/bullying from ethnic Africans. We are referred to as amalawu / uncultured people.

Listening to this video and this is sooooo connected to last weeks faith talks… because of my self esteem I was in a 10 year relationship with a narcissist, well not a relationship, a marriage! I did not leave until YAH changed me! It’s a lot to tell in my story but this relationship was so bad I end up in a mental institution and even tried to end my own life more than once! YAH took me through an amazing process, I am no longer in medication, after that YAH changed the way I dressed, then He got me to stop wearing make up, my skin started glowing like glass! Today I know exactly what go I am not because of who people or the world say I am but because of who Abba says I am and with that I have no desire to be like the world, I have no interest in acting like the world and when I’m told I’m weird, narrow minded, unfashionable I rejoice because that only means I am more like Yahusha and less like the world!
Furthermore when you understand who you are at the eyes of Abba you will not accept just any relationship! Someone asked me what I want in a relationship and I said YAH and they asked what kind a man I want and I answer the man that will give his life for me like Yahusha gave his life for the church! This same person said “ok I’m not interested” 😂

I always identify myself and my self worth by my appearance. I was always chubbier than all of my friends and got bullied a lot in school. I am asian and live in germany btw. So, from an early age on I also struggled with some identity issues because I felt alien. In asia there was no difference. I always got the stares and those side-eyes.
I am in Tokyo right now and yesterday the enemy just constantly attacked me with negative thoughts and emotions about myself and really tried to push me down (because I was comparing myself to that asian beauty standard). And then your video shows up on my youtube page! Thank the Lord for reminding me to see myself through HIS eyes. That he already perfected me and when HE, the Almighty, is with me who should I be afraid of?

So interesting. I have only been "overweight" since adulthood. As a child and teen I was always slim. I am learning to love this body. Sometimes my words and attitude say the opposite and I notice people's reaction to me, they will often say "why do you say that about yourself, no you're not what you say." This shows me that people don't see me in the negative way I see myself. It isn't easy but I'm learning to see myself the way Jesus see me ❤ I am beautiful, I am wise, I am loved and worthy of love. I am unique. I am intelligent.

Hey Deborah! So my school days I would never like to relive because I literally had very few friends I myself was spoken about at school because of the way I looked ! So now as an adult I have grown into self confidence I don’t need anyone’s approval , I’m confident in my skin. I have never cared about what people’s opinion of me were as long as I’m carrying myself the way Christ wants me to. But I was very unpopular at school it did suck but I learned to love myself and be around people who genuinely wants to be around me. 5:05 yo, this is crazy to me the last few weeks I felt like I could relate to everything you were talking about, but this right here is the craziest one. My anxiety about what people are saying about me is so bad I cannot even enjoy myself properly when I go out anymore. I have resorted to ordering everything online from groceries to food Just to avoid the stress. I recently got a new job and it causes me to be around a lot more people and there's this one spot that I've been to about five times where people are closer than the rest of places and I can't even think straight to do my job. Yes it's that bad. It feels good to know that I'm not the only one going through this. Yes mine is much worse but it's still good to know. Thank you
I completely understand the anxiety about people whispering and chuckling. My self image has gotten so low from school, social media, and my family’s expectations. And I had a bit of a realization the other day that I was letting my atmosphere change me, making more quiet or things of the sort instead of walking into a room with the full understanding that I’m the daughter of a king so why am I so scared? Deborah, I’ve been asking myself this question for months and see how it’s affected my relationships around me and the way I act on my actions, whether that’d be at work, school, and serving at church. My confidence is definitely affected by the way I see myself, and on the outside I portray someone people see that’s not really me. I struggle with speaking up and socializing cause I’ve struggled with voice issues for years that haven’t been resolved, which plays a huge role in my confidence and the way I see myself. Struggling in the psychological area doesn’t help too since I grew up with anxiety. I’m healing from it and it makes me sad knowing my relationships are weak cause of it, but I know God knows my struggles so I have hope he’ll redeem all of these areas. i swear having to unlearn what youve been told about yourself is SOOOO hard because stepping into adulthood you carry these notions and people start "confirming" them and you take comfort in all that abuse. Its so crazy how bullying affects a person, but the more i speak about my experience and working towards changing, i realize here and there that those people had a problem with themselves cze i set a standard that they couldnt attain, so they wanted to stoop me low to their level.

Ever since I started watching you 4 months ago my relationship with God has really grown. I now look up to God like a lot. I stopped worrying a lot when I realised that I can really talk to God about anything and just anywhere. Bullies can really get in your brain but when you know and understand who you are then you become bold. I have been bullied all my life because I look very young that my actual age. I was denied jobs because I didn't look old enough and many more. So I really understand you❤ Blessings sis

I, too, was bullied around that same age for being overweight. I was either completely ignored or verbally abused by my peers and I have to say, it really caused a lot of issues that I'm still working through in my thirties because I'm realizing how, even though I lost all the weight at 20 years old and people completely changed how they treated me, I still carry social anxiety and low self esteem around with me because of how I was treated in those pivotal years for developing your self image. I have struggled with disordered eating and overexercising because of the fear of ever going back to being subjected to the worst sides of people completely unsolicited...a complete stranger came up to me in the mall and called me a fat pig...I mean, really??
Thank you for drawing attention to this issue about how it can steal our lives from us..I know I struggle to show up for myself and out in the world the way I want to because of these really early experiences.
bro… u dont know how MUCH you’ve helped me. I’ve known God for essentially my entire life but ive never actually had a good relationship with the guy. Let alone be a “good christian”. I have really bad trust issues and I just dont trust God fully yet… ofc I believe I am saved but when it comes down to life situations, it is just so against me to put my fate in someone elses hands. Let alone someone I don’t know that well… I just wanted to thank you for your faith because it is really inspiring and beginning to help me put of my situation…
You’re absolutely not alone in this! Let’s be honest: it’s hard to place our trust in someone we can’t see in the physical 🤷🏽♀️. But God is super patient, he’ll never force you to trust him. Take your time, I will be praying for you! I can testify that when you let God in fully, he will show you who he is, he is real and loves you so much!! He’s not some dictator in the sky, he’s your Heavenly Father 🥹. Just give him a chance, he won’t let you down 🤗 it’s a blessing to have you here and I pray that God will continue to speak to you!!

Thank you Deborah for sharing this with us ❤❤❤ I had been bullied too, and I internalized how those people view me a lot, for a long period of time I couldn't even trust people, those voices in my head would tell me how much people actually hate me etc. But these horrible events in my early life definitely pull me near to God. I appreciate your courage and kindness, it seems like you don't even have grudges inside your heart, that's amazing!!❤ I still have a hard time socializing and making new friends now, but it's wonderful to see how God encouraging us through you❤❤
I’m so sorry you’ve experienced bullying as well 😔 it’s really a horrible thing to go through and makes you feel so demolished. I pray that our Heavenly Father will continue to walk this road of healing with you. That you will see yourself through the lens of God a bit more every day. Those bullies really don’t know anything: “forgive them father for they do not know what they’re doing” Luke 23:34 🤍 You’re so special to your father in heaven don’t you ever forget that!

I don’t think you understand how much I relate to this. The enemy has been coming at me so hard this week and bring up old words that came against me in school and in my family. I’ve been in prayer about it and these weeks have just been rough. Thank you for speaking about this. I know my identity but fighting the words of the enemy has been hard. I needed this thank you.
I know the feeling sis! It' so so hard out here lets be honest! But it helps and takes the pressure off ourselves when we start to realise the fact that we can't fight these things on our own. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, Matthew 26:41. We're not fighting alone! Stay in the word, be equips with that armour and remember who you are: An amazing loved daughter of the king of the universe!!! It doesn't get any better than that sis 🤗

I'll be praying for you!! We all have other things we're inclined to run to first instead of God. I've also dealt with comfort eating when it comes to sweets, cakes etc. It's not easy to overcome that! But we need God's help, he knows we can't do it in our own strength. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. May you die to your flesh and experience God's grace and love like never before. In your weakness he is strong. He sees your willing heart, he delights in you 🥰 May the chains of overeating be broken over your life in Jesus' mighty name!
