Fiancé and I did four months of full time this summer-fall and I must agree, the planning never ends. Staying with family during the holidays and it is so nice not to have to think of “what’s next?” for a while. Loved the video! Cant wait to see what y’alls next adventure is!

I have been full-time for about 3 1/2 years in a 2000 Monaco dynasty 40 foot motorhome. I am retired so I have it a lot easier than you guys and I never move as much as you guys have this summer. I think my shortest day last summer was a week in one spot But I almost always am camping on some type of free land. One thing I’m sure you guys have learned that were no one asked about is you better be handy and have tools living in an RV because there is always something to adjust, tighten, or fix. We hear you on travel planning burnout. We full-time (100% boondocking) and only move every 2 weeks…and even that’s a bit much most times. But we love the slow travel style.
If I may say, on meeting “friends” on the road, in todays society, that’s difficult when the trust level has dropped so low. I would enjoy meeting the both of you and the conversations that follow. But I ain’t on the road yet and I do have a bottle of Merlot for y’all.
Just an FYI - Florida DOES have free land to camp on - but it all requires reservations. Their water management districts allow free camping in designated areas, along with some wildlife areas! Our family has taken advantage of camping on them all 3 times we have been to Florida on winter trips! Can be frustrating as they aren't always the best managed, and some people don't care which site they occupy- even if it's yours 🤪 - but others are really nice with onsite campground hosts!
Ohio has a very small amount of free camping. A.E.P ELECTRIC has some land that is free to camp on. I spose it would work for a few days passing thru to save a few dollars. Good video!. Thanks!!

I appreciate the honesty in the video. I know you don’t stay or like to stay at RV parks a ton, but I would think finding like minded people/friends would be easier find in RV parks. We do have a home and RV (travel trailer) so we are not in the same position you guys are in. We camp with friends who are basically in the same position. I hope anything you guys do, works out for you. Enjoy the holidays.

There's an ancient movie, "If This Is Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium". I think it's every full-timer's intention to see the entire country in far too short a time period. You are right, traveling is exhausting and constantly on your mind. I solved this by Workamping... pick an area of the country that works for you - typically in the South or Texas - then seek a position Workamping for a few months. Not only free site rental to cut down on expenses, but a better opportunity to meet people who might become long-term acquaintances. The benefits of RV-ing while not constantly hunting for the closest grocery/hardware/propane store. Good luck... I hope you will continue to enjoy this way of life!!
Yes! I wish I would have known more about workamping before we hit the road. I met a handful of people taking advantage of those type of opportunities!
I would love a video or info on boondocking...We've been FT for about 5 months, but always staying in state parks or campgrounds, we have shore power. Lost with where to start for needs of boondocking when we head west this summer
Western states are so wonderful for boondocking and camping in general! We are solar-powered so that's how we were able to boondock quite a bit in the summer. We could go a week easily before we needed to refill water and dump our tanks. Only issue is we don't have a generator so we can't run our AC if we're not plugged into shore power.
Ha that's a great question! I don't have it in front of me but I can tell you the most expensive gas was nearly $7/gallon in Mammoth Lakes, CA back in August!
