Awesome guitar! The fishman pickups have two different voicings (active / passive) so it‘s not a coil split, that‘s probably why voice 2 thickens it up
That's a pretty badass guitar! Ironically it's exactly like the one I just built out of a Jackson Mick Thompson SL2 soloist. Fishman actives are my favorite because that second voice on the bridge is so nice for high gain! What kind of guitar out there caters to someone wanting a gnarly tone by ramping up the output, instead of the cliche attempt at a single coil/thinner sound. Leave single coil sounds for the neck imo 😀 but major props to Fishman for thinking about it and realizing this is a unique option high gain players would love more than a single coil bridge sound.
I got the c-8 multi-scale evil twin a few days ago and can't stop playing it! They built a beautiful series that has crazy action up and down the fret-board. I'm going to swap out the moderns with the Abasi set for the elevated mids. With distortion the tone separation of the strings is incredible, and it will be even better with Abasi's pickups
As a KM-6 owner (mk1 - same basic axe but passive, different finish, single push-pull volume) I can vouch for how good these guitars feel. The quality of Schecters coming out of the WMI factory in Korea has to be the best for the money. But that's just my 2 cents. Good review!
Hey gang. The deal with the push-pull on Fishman's is NOT a "coil split". It is two different "voicings". Down is "active" mode. Up position is "passive" mode. Still need 9v for both voicings though.
Love my Schecter, I have the KM7 MK 1 that i picked up at 50% off because it was a demo model (shop floor) and there is not a mark on it, that model has the Nazgul and Sentient pick ups on it. Great review.

You've got some skills there. Sir. I'm about to buy one of the fade SLS Elites (Black Fade or Antique Fade).... but I've started to look at this one. I do have an incoming Blackjack Solo II, so I may go for color on the C-1.
No. Not normal. Sounds like your pickup wire is possibly disconnected underneath the pickup. Fishmans use "press on" connectors on the bottoms of their pickups. Or, maybe you got a dead pickup? Lots of potential reasons...
@@ChrisTompkins-Music-And-Gear damn thanks, for the reply in the mean time i am also waiting for Thomann to get back to me. perhaps they are also familiar with the problem. but could a cable really cause only the last position not to work ? as the two other positions work perfect. i also notice when its in bridge position ( the broke position ) and i touch lightly on the pick up it some times comes on, then sometimes cuts out
The 2 positions that are "working" are neck position and middle position. The middle is going to sound like its working because the neck pickup is still on. I'm willing to bet that the cable under the bridge pickup, is loose. Should be an easy fix. You just need to remove your strings, remove the 2 screws that hold the pickup into the body. Gently Pull the pickup out and seat the cable to the connector that is attached to the bridge pickup. Measure the height of your pickup, prior to removing the screws. This way, when you put it back in, you can set the height to where it was. A word of caution... Sometimes they will use a zip tie, inside the electronics cavity in the back of the guitar, to neaten up the extra length of pickup cable. You will need to check for that first. If there is one, cut it before you try to take the pickup out. Otherwise you could pull the connector off of the back of your pickup and then its really broken. You should feed the extra cable length (that is in the electronics cavity) back towards the pickup, as you pull the pickup out. this will ensure that you don't accidentally pull the connector off of the pickup.. It sounds like a lot but its not hard. Just take your time and be patient with it. Also, it's more than likely that you wont easily be able to put the strings back on, since they are locking tuners and there might not be enough slack to allow you to put them back into the tuners. So, plan on replacing the strings.
I bought this guitar partly because of your review and the price ..listed at 1300 +, got it for 1100+ your right ..how does Schecter offer this at that price
