- Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana Sunday as a catastrophic Category 4 hurricane, bringing deadly weather conditions as it crossed over Southern Louisiana.
While the storm has weakened to a tropical storm and passed most of the state, damage assessment is just beginning as residents and parish officials begin recovery efforts.

Were the 20 barges, and 2 ferry boats that broke loose,,ever located?
Prayers for everyone affected by Ida.
Oh Lord have mercy this state has any chance every year praying
The power will be out for weeks! Prepare for chaos!
It will be weeks. This isn't just a matter of throwing a switch. They will be having to actually replace infrastructure.
After Laura last year they said 6-8 weeks for power SW La. It was 1-4 weeks and the power grid was ripped to shreds, much worse than what this storm has damages.
@@mikehaynes1769 yep. Lost power for 10 days myself.
Well hello Eric 😎
Just give Louisiana back to France, and save us from future misery
liked the video WHO IS THE KLINGON ? as a news anchor WOW ?
that is what we need outworlders with the news
like this CBS station
so hopefully this state was giving free access to transportation via buses to evacuate an thus giving everyone plenty of plans an time to evacuate before this storm
Not enough warning, less than 36 hrs heads up. Need 48.
Millions missing presumed dead 😢
Millions? Nope
No. However, no power = no water, no sewer, and hot.
@@geoff7300 no power does not mean no water and sewage. Hot and muggy, yes.
@@mikehaynes1769 all our water gomes ftom mississipoi river. It gets treated and pumped up into water tanks to give gravity pressure. Water mains leak 20-40% under usual conditions due to swampy soil, roots, movement. Water pressure has a minimum pressure to stay safe from groundwater going into water mains. Sewage, has to be pumped up to treat then pumped into river.
Can you see how electticity plays a role?
Very different than other areas with resevoirs higher than city, gravity does most of work.
@@geoff7300 Yes I understand that is the situation in some places, so I'm not saying it doesn't happen. But just because an area is out of power does not automatically mean it has not water or sewage. Most places without power still have running water and operable sewage. And even areas with widespread power outages who do lose water, utility companies are the first to have power and or emergency power restored.
Jesus coming back soon repent and give God the glory 🙏 😤 👏 🥲 🥰
I dont think so
@@erikvanmunster6620 you don't think so but I know so!!! Try opening your Bible and ask God for some understanding!!!
Good for you.
My God is real, and I love him!
yes, He is soon coming for His own. To those who don’t believe and love darkness rather than the light of our Gracious Saviour….you are being prayed for now because the tribulation is at the door.
I hope people were prepared for disasters like this!
Water. Generator. Food. Medicine. If one doesn't prepare for this stuff, they are fools!
And they deserve to suffer. Those that are prepared are godly.
well, I don’t see godliness in you because I don’t hear the mercy and grace of Jesus. Perhaps you should re-evaluate your understanding of what it is to be prepared?…….Don’t mix up preparing for a storm with preparing for eternity.
All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Just believe in Jesus. This is the gospel and it cannot be taken away. Once saved by Christ….always secure in Him-whether you have a generator or not.
@@Nancybelongs2Jesus Read Proverbs. There are plenty of references for the Fools on Earth.
