How fortunate he is to be given a second chance! Drugs can consume your whole life and eventually you may succumb! But for him he received the tools to help him become sober! Way to go and don't ever give up!!

He celebrated 9 years last week and I'm so proud of everything he's accomplished. Thank you for not being rude like the other people in these comments I really appreciate you.

I really need the same type of help,It would really change my life and I'm in treatment now and have been doing well for 2 years now but my teeth are so bad that it's hard to eat and sleep and I'm very ashamed of how they look so I never smile and that doesn't seem right for my 3 kids and my wife.

Dentures are cheaper. And less chance of infections or bone disorders.

100% waste of money. There are thousands of children that go without dental care right here in Portland. Sure let's spend the money on someone that's smoked meth the last 10+ years.. they should have new teeth. Wonder how long those hold up with meth use?

He is clean and changed his life around. Do you know how hard that is? So many people lose their lives to addiction. He also deserves second chances.

Waste of whose money? The providers gave their time, that’s their prerogative, and takes nothing at all away from any children.
Why are children going without dental care? All low income children under 19 are eligible for free insurance in Oregon, right?
This man seems to have been successful in treatment, keeping his substance use disorder in remission for 10 years. There’s no reason to think he’ll be back in active addiction.
