Topo recently became my new favorite shoe brand 🔥🔥 Topo has the "Altra" philosophy of wide comfy toe box following the foot shape, but the shoes are way lighter & the midsole is far more responsive. I currently own the Cyclone2 & the Specter, which is awesome!!

Great review! I’ve been curious about this shoe. I adore my Cyclones for workouts and racing under 10K (nailed a 5K PB in them). I’ve also got a pair of Specters that I’ve been less enthused about. I’m not quite sure where or how they fit into my current rotation. They seem to be perfect for strides, but too stiff for daily runs and easier efforts. Not a racer either. Merely ok for longer efforts. Glad to hear the Atmos isn’t stiff, but at that price point I’m tempted to wait for the Triumph 22 to drop in the spring.

narrow compared to the forefoot…sure. I have a wide ish foot and these are actually foot shaped. Roomy but not overly so in forefoot and well fitting through the arch and heel. I think they would feel pretty sloppy if the midfoot had much more room.
