There's now video out that shows the truck enter Bourbon st. The truck stopped at Bourbon, backed up turning his truck to line up with Bourbon st. The truck then drove down the sidewalk on the right side as you look down Bourbon from canal.
Why don't they use a series of road blocks during these events by even going as far to use confiscated automobiles involved in crimes to help block traffic? A vehicle with an internal combustion engine would’ve been disabled shortly after the radiator had been broken or punctured and the torque that comes from an EV would make it very difficult to stop by obstacles.
I am extremely saddened to hear about this tragedy and the moral depravity that exists within our country. Having said that, seeing how this was a mass murder using a car, I think it's time we (1) pass anti-car legislation, (2) require a background check to buy a car, buy gasoline, or get a drivers license, (3) don't allow convicted felons to purchase, possess, or drive a car, (4) limit the capacity of the gas tank to no more than 2 gallons of gasoline, and (5) allow victims of car injuries/fatalities to sue car manufacturers into oblivion.
