Regarding your point about Kenny’s words “we will never have today again” - in season one, you see that the sign inside the diner says “forever is comprised of nows.”
I honestly thought this myself, and in the case of Tabitha I think it’s a little bit of compensation after she lost Thomas, so this “magical quest” can be viewed as a form of dodging the reality of her actual children and family that needs her, that “we are all we got” theme we saw on this episode.
The choice of words that the father makes while he's explaining his wife's visions is interesting. "Strolling down memory lane". I wouldn't be surprised if the town is a scrapbook of things they experienced together.
For a long time, I have theorised that the town is a projection of story telling. The drawings create rather than recall. And perhaps when they were high, they were looking and some stories she used to tell her children (as Victor narrated) and then she connected to another being that then formed this reality.
Also to mention, as Tabitha was showing proofs of her family being lost since long time to Victor's father, she ends up to a link where the Mathews family is been showed and below that to the right bottom corner of the web page is the name of the company whose name was was actually on the cart which was attached to boyd Car if you noticed it well
I think it’s part of the whole “synchronicity” dream-like theme they’re going with. That’s why they add references of the many elements of the show inside of other elements.
cant stop thinking how this show keep reminding me of an old anime (Umineko naku koro no ni), where all the things that happen to the people in it are just part of a game several witches are playing just for fun; even some of the witches are disguised as normal people and playing it along with their victims; cant tell why but I feel like Donna and Tilly are somehow involved in the game, Donna even told that in the last episode, crying about how the game is rigged (she's losing). And Tilly was acting weird since the day she got to the town, so she's more than she seems to be Or may be the kids in white are the ones playing with the people of the town, there's a book (The Dome) from Stephen King (a clearly inspiration for the show) where the its found that the ones causing all the events are just a bunch of kids from another dimension, playing with the humans like they're where bugs....
I wonder if the baby inside Fatima, is not human and needs spoiled food, thus the town is providing spoiled food for the baby... by spoiling the soil in town...
Someone noticed that in the scene where Victor’s father is looking at the computer screen with Tabitha on the bottom left of the computer is the same sticker of the Hawaiian lady that’s on the suitcase! And that there are several items in the basement that were in the tunnels. Would love to know what you think that means! And also the fact that there were peaches on Victor’s wallpaper and then of course in from land! Thanks again for all of your hard work!!
I subscribe to a more supernatural/psychoanalytical justification for Fromland, just like you do. I'd be happy with the revelation that this location is the entity's subconscious or a testing ground for emerging deities or a new breed of mytholocial creatures as the monsters might be demons, Djinn, a twisted take on warriors gone to Valhalla, tulpae or the manifestation of fears/nightmares. I'd be majorly disappointed if the writers pulled any of the following explanations out of a hat: - simulation - time travel - social/government experiment Steer clear of scifi and lean into the horror/mystery aspect with nods at Jung. Edit: What I could reconcile with would be something like the government sacrificing a bunch of people to monstrous beings from another dimension so they don't invade our realm, but that's all the scifi leeway I'd be willing to give the writers.
I was thinking about the effects of “acid” (psychedelic) might have had on Victor’s mom, but you’re the first reviewer who seemed to caught this bit. I’m curious as to how she was able to paint such accurate pictures of the town before ever being there? If her mind was so opened, could she not have seen the dangers in bring her young children along for this journey?
@@Passionatelycurious91 i dont think she did...because Victor's father said she said she knew there were other people present in the town...this in addition to the fact that there were others before her chosen to free the children, but had failed
Fatema couldn't open the door by herself.... because there's a Talisman there... then the girl after her was able to open the door easily... That makes me think her baby is a demon.
I am now certain that there are cycles in the life of the town. and I think the mothers have something to do with the new cycles, by starting to focus on saving the children maybe. Miranda is related to the previous cycle (47th),now Tabitha has opened a new one maybe (48th). And what if Fatima is becoming a monster herself (given that she is not pregnant, so the weird stuff isn't becaus of the baby)?
Season 2 episode 10 they get married in Colony House in front of the window while simultaneously Tabitha exits through a window. I think windows and doors represent something more which is why the talismans work somehow, while trees are portals. The window in Colony House is at the high spot in the area, sorta like the Light House. There's probably a third window. 3 windows just like 3 important tree portals.
I think it's important to add the whole reason he went with Jim was he didn't want to see Ethan and Julie lose another parent. Only to come back and it was him who just lost another parent.
My daughter was diagnosed with that hypermesis or whatever it’s called. She was sick at 4-5 weeks up until a week before she gave birth. I felt horrible for her.
As someone that's dropped a lot of LSD, including what many would consider a "hero dose", I found that plot point a bit silly. It's like some things we used to think of when I was a teenager and we would drop and go to a graveyard and walk around. We thought it would be a good fright, but it was really peaceful.
But Kenny didn’t find the food Jim did. So idk if that applies according to your theory. Also Jim didn’t find the food until the next morning. Tin Chin was killed the night before. So yeah Jim found the food, Tin Chin was killed the night before.
I see your point, but I’d argue they both did, and they both returned with food to the town, same as Boyd returned with the Talismans instead. It was more of a symbolic parallel I noted-and like anything subjective, it’s fuzzy. I don’t think there’s some literal causal mechanic behind this.
Maybe she just assumed she didn’t make it, but the fact they haven’t confirmed Eloise died brings up the possibility she might have made it somewhere even if it’s not the outside world. Also like you said the father’s reaction implied she’s still missing for him.
You stopped looking for real answers and you didn't even mention the phone call, in your revision of season one episode 9 you speculated that the lighthouse could be the way out and you were right!!! But then you totally disregarded that theory as though the show writers called you up to stop analyzing and giving real answers lol! Up until that point you were really on to something, but now you're just reflecting on the episodes rather than actually trying to figure out what this whole place is... I'm so frustrated from the lack of explaination and dragging of the show, and you're so good with your analysis so I only seek answers here. But unfortunately it's as though your channel got rigged, just like Donna said about the town lol
The acid thing also explains why Jade saw so many visions of the past.
I totally agree. 👍🏼

Amazing analysis. I think you are often the closest we could possibly get to the From writers’ room.
LOVE YOUR Analysis
One thing about Miranda & Tabitha-they are both concerned about “saving the children,” but what about their own?
I had that in mind the entire time, but perhaps for Tabitha she feels it is her only way to release her children

What if "Saving the kids" is the way to get everybody back from Fromville? One could argue that the only way to truly save her kids is to save the 7

I thought the same about the characters in Lost. Each were "Lost" and needed to learn different lessons about their lives
Great insight into the shows dynamic I love your analysis and perspective of this show
I always love your take on these episodes. Another great video. Thanks for posting eye eagle eye and all around great theorist. Thanks for posting.

Maybe she didn’t intend to go to the town with her children, but the town pulled her and the children together.
Quite sad to see you have not posted recently because you were one of my OG YT pages since S1.
Easily the best theory videos on this show!
Great vdo! Love this.👍👍
great analysis
Fatema couldn't open the door by herself.... because there's a Talisman there... then the girl after her was able to open the door easily... That makes me think her baby is a demon.
you can see the door is slightly open as she walks off
Fatima didn't open the door because that smell of rotten food she now craves got her attention.

was it the marriage ceremony of love and hope that allowed the boy to push Tabitha out? give and take...
I felt that the unusual child inside Fatima is why the soil seems poisoned. Could it be that she carries a different monster?
I think it's important to add the whole reason he went with Jim was he didn't want to see Ethan and Julie lose another parent. Only to come back and it was him who just lost another parent.

it can be a box within a box if its just another level
Why hasnt Tabitha mentioned Eloise? Based on the father’s reactions it seems she never left OR he just hasnt seen his family since
