Zimmer is a good hire. Probably more relatable to the young players after being with Deion at the college level. His resume is solid.
For this team it was a good choice as they weren't going to hire a first time DC. Zimmer was the DC when we made the playoffs with Quincy Carter lol. Thats a hella of a coach job on the defense.
I agree 1000% on all the coaches that need to go. Aden Durde, Jeff Blasko, Scott McCurley and Solari .
I like Zimmer, always got nervous playing the Vikings when he coached. I support him 💯. If these entitled, spoiled players don't buy in, then gtfoh.

I like the hire. A DC that holds the players accountable. The discipline and the linebacker group needs to improve the most.
A decent hire. I think Zimmer works well with Jerry and Mike. Hopefully he can get more out of our players.

I'd like to see them hire Ron Rivera for linebacker coach
I really hope we don't start hearing stories about the players not buying in or liking his style or the defense us too complicated. Demarcus Lawrence as a leader saying they were burnt out is an example of mediocre leadership on the defense. We'll see what happens. Jerry and team will need to let Zimmer coach.

It doesn't matter who the dc is if your going to be cheap in free agency & not bring in some stud dt & lbs. This defense cant stop the run. Arizona,49ers,bills,Packers all ran the ball easily on the quinn defense. The d line is to small & gets pushed around they need some beef in the middle at dt & lb.

We were a fake ass defense with Quinn, the Greenbay game put the nail in the coffin. I can't believe how the Cowboys allowed this team to play without true linebackers under Dan Quinn, we currently suck in the run game and an effective pass rush. Good luck to Mike Zimmer, he needs a lot of help to make our defense elite.

Loved what Zimmer done for us in the past so I'm bias about his hire as our d coordinator. Yeah I think Dan Quinn threw that game. Maybe to get the jones for not going with him as head coach

Cowboys blog Jerry and Stephen Jones need to get a deal done for Mike Zimmer to be the cowboys defensive coordinator and they need to work on getting dak Prescott a contract extension so are cowboys will have some money to spend in free agency to sign some free agents Jerry and Stephen Jones shouldn't wait a month are two to get this stuff done if I was the owner of the cowboys I would already work on getting this stuff done
I think Mike zimmer was the best option, now Jerry needs to work on signing Derrick Henry, get to work via free agency and get us A strong center, O-line man real linebackers and A D-tackle in the draft ,adress our needs Jerry the GM
Mike Zimmer will make these DALLAS COWBOYS in to real men. Tired is not excuses i could tell there was something wrong with the girls. Weak defense line.
It was going to either be Zimm, Rivera, or someone on the staff. This is going to be a lame duck year so they weren’t going to go get a big name. In 2025 it’s going to have to be a whole new staff. My prediction on their record for 2024 is at best 8 or 9 wins.

Same ole sht. Zim is a yes man. Oh, people stop the accountable crap. These are grown ass men who get paid millions. Zimmer hire was just a safe hire and is not an all-in win move. I have the utmost confidence that McCarthy will be gone next season and Zim will be gone after this coming season too. D hire. We get labled deluded fans because we try to convince ourselves that bringing back Zimmer was a good move, great hire and he will make players accountable. Lol Zim is associated with some our most humiliating losses in the past. Expansion Panthers loss in playoffs 2003 and Zim D lit up for 29 points. Oh, and Randy Moss beatdown on thanksgiving night (40 burger) but you guys think this was a great hire. HC after next season Zimmer or another retread. 29 and counting and another 1st round exit coming.

Running the ball is as old as dirt and it works. So don’t give me that crap about reinventing the wheel. You either have “scheme” or “studs”. The 90s Cowboys ran a simple scheme but had studs running it and it didn’t matter who they were going against or if they “knew” what was coming. They just couldn’t stop it. It’s not just about scheme. We need masterful players. We don’t have any of those. We have a few good players.
