no it won't... cause they already have it for a couple of years. it's called C4 and it doesn't really sell. unless you are referring to the fifth door, which they won't do, just because they won't...
I don't understand why Qi charging is limited to top models. The electronics for Qi cost lest than $1 to manufacture, so they should be in every car that has space for the phone to sit.
Delighted to see the return of the saloon after all the bloated and boring SUVs. Saloons are more secure as well. You can leave stuff in the boot of your saloon and no one can see it unlike with a hatchback. The boot might not be as practical as the hatch but it is more secure and it is bigger.
I'm not sure which hatchbacks you have been driving but most have a parcel shelf or equivalent which hides the boot contents. Hatchback boots are superior. A good example is the BMW 4 series. It's a coupe with a practical boot.
@@bodrulm1 Yes and all someone has to do is smash the window break or remove the parcel shelf and take any valuable contents there whereas on a car with a boot they can not do that.
To be honest, I'm just pleased to see the launch of ANYTHING that's not yet-another oversized, resource-wasteful, aerodynamically-inefficient SUV...!! As for who would buy something like this - probably taxi firms...? Certainly in most European countries, taxi firms prefer saloon models (hence why the Merc EQE has a boot and not the hatchback opening of it's big brother EQS)
It looks a nice car. No, not exciting, but exactly what a lot of people would like to own. I like a hatchback, but I enjoyed the Alpha Romeo I owned a few years back - a saloon car, and very comfortable (but just too much rust!).
I have a Citroen ec4 on the mobility scheme and its fine for my needs but I see the new model has a small boot lid which means access for my scooter will be very difficult also the dog cage won't fit any more shame will have too find something else next time and there's no flat floor access
This is not replacing the eC4 its just another version of it. Unless Citroen go bust or stop making eC4s it will still be there shoukd you need to change in 3 or 4 years time.
Now this, with the squared off trunk, looks like a proper sedan. I haven't seen a Citroen on the road in over twenty years,...so I wonder if they are still being imported. I will have to check because I think it may be worth a test drive and consideration to add to the collection. UPDATE: It appears the answer is "no." Citroen is not being imported to the U.S.
I'm conflicted - as a car fan, I'm so pleased to see a saloon option in a sea of SUV's, however I sadly can't see many car enthusiasts choosing the C4 compared to other options.. particularly if it's your only car. I'm not Citroen bashing as my other half has a C3 diesel and its a brilliant daily and the C4X looks ace - I just dont know whos going to buy it! It'll make a great taxi I guess?
I like the extra length of the E-C4 X, shame the nice red is £700 more. The biggest issue is that it is a Saloon. I can't see it as practical for a family car. I own the E-C4 and I will stick to having a hatchback.
Nice review Tish but come on why would anyone buy an EV if its fundamentally limited by not being on a dedicated platform. Legacy brands are never going to compete with the likes of Tesla, Kia/Hyundai and BYD etc if they don't get a move on.
For me it's a non-starter due to the lack of access & practicality at the back. Personally I want to see more proper Estate car EV's. The MG5 is OK but as a medium estate at best it is not big enough. Why to these front drive combustion based Electric cars have a transmission tunnel? They are front wheel drive & have no prop shaft driving the rear wheels so why the need for the tunnel?
My mind was made up to order one but as soon as she said 50kwh battery, i stopped watching the video, what a shame citron, what a fabulous design with a smaller battery 🤦
noone wants colours anymore... and car manufactorers dont want to bother ... also in a car accident its really hard to colour match a colourfull car but with a gray ish type car its less noticable
The C4X is the first sedan by Citroën to be sold in many European countries since the discontinuation of the C5 sedan in 2017.
Great review. Nice car and Citroen doing there own thing which is nice to see.
Lovely looking large car that seems very reasonably priced by EV standards.
Just bought a red C4X. Absolutely love it. After a 5k discount at 18k euros. Not the e- version, but it's cool.
If they can bring out a hatchback version of this it'll be hugely popular. Adding a little range wouldn't go amiss either.
no it won't... cause they already have it for a couple of years. it's called C4 and it doesn't really sell. unless you are referring to the fifth door, which they won't do, just because they won't...
I’d love to see a C4-SW - this high riding car in estate form. That’s the car I want. I’m sure there is a market for that.
Awesome family car!
I've been an SUV driver for years, but - I can't say exactly why - I quite like the Citroen e-C4 X!
Hahaha funny you should say that… it’s my exact feelings on it. Maybe because it’s something we’re so not used to seeing? So it feels unusual to like?
I don't understand why Qi charging is limited to top models. The electronics for Qi cost lest than $1 to manufacture, so they should be in every car that has space for the phone to sit.
I drove this one over the weekend. It is a fantastic looking car with good quality interiors and tech is quite nice too.
Doe you know the loading length of the trunk? Does a buggy that is almost 1 meter fit in the trunk?

That’s very true! I hadn’t thought that! 👏🏼

Tbf the rear end is the deal breaker on this... I REALLY like it, there's nothing really smililar to this, very nice!

I have his older brother ec4 . Very nice car.
waiting for mine that was already ordered
Still no roof rack option?

@@sharonec5419 Thanks I did not realise, I like my car
@@33zakk You are welcome. That is good.
I need a word with the editors 😂 who put the clip in where the lady pops into the screen screaming because I was ready to throw my phone 😂😂
9:04 “USB + USC”. Rofl. You mean USB-A + USB-C. 😂
price kya hai

Are you going to review the 2024 Flow version? It finally has a somewhat bigger battery and better efficiency.
O noo the ON logo rotates. 😱
would still prefer hatch back, makes better use of the road space. and no I dont mean full SUV I mean large hot hatch like the Renault Megane e-tech

Clearly a much larger boot equates to more practicality.

Because it helps keep the price down.
Shame it comes with the old 50kWh battery pack and not the new 54kWh packs found in newer stallantis cars

A small change at the rear and it could be an estate instead
Like it a lot❤
Nice ev.
I love seeing Electroheads 🙂 but I also enjoy seeing the lovely woman who drives this car🙂😍
So this is a 🚗 car to create a 👪 family....😏😏😏
For my eye e-C4 hatch looks lot better.

Did they steal the wheels off a Polestar 2 Performance?
Here in the UK we are struggling to keep the lights on, pushing electric cars is crazy!
c4? is that name because it's a bomb? 😀 probably not the best name for ev. 😀
Polestar 2 clone, maybe?
Even the wheels at 04:59, are an exact copy of the outgoing Polestar 2 Performance wheels, but smaller.
Idiotic car without power, range and hitch. Shameful
