Norm MacDonald... Turns out this movie was the first time I ever heard his voice. Ironically, it wasn't until after his death that I actually knew it was him. Maybe that's why I adored him so much, he was a part of my life ever since my childhood.
Billy Madison was one of my childhood movies that I always watched on repeat. Had the same effect on me in terms of Norm.

Norm changed my life before I even knew who he was. And he did it by voicing a dog in a stupid kid's movie, and staying his sarcastic self the whole time. I hope he made a boat load of money off this.
Norm, I miss ya all the time. Changed comedy for me, and by extension my life.

The children's book is incredibly racist. I recommend all the movies ... thankfully the plot seems to have taken on a life separate from the book.
The book is a good read for adults interested in the history of racism. (Shhh, don't tell Gov. DeSantos)

It's obvious that the vet is intimidated by Dolittle, and is trying to assert that he's just as much a doctor as Dolittle is (and probably an even better one from his attitude)
Vet are better doctors because they have to read several species, normal doctors usually have a part of the human body they specialize in and thus have it easier

The following year Jeffrey Tambor played a psychiatrist in Girl, Interrupted who both Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie despise because he just isn't good at his job and here he plays a vet who isn't good at his job and the pets don't like him-so Jeffrey Tambor always seems to be good at playing the doctor no one wants to get!
I saw Dr. Dolittle recently. Jeffrey Tambor is Dr. Fish. The movie along with How the Grinch Stole Christmas were the only works from Tambor I've seen from him where he's not the whiny character. I also feel that this is the most hair he's ever had. Since Tambor is bald even here. And he's younger here than in all the other films I've seen him in.

I laugh at this entire scene. Grew up watching this movie. Need more films like this one these days. A part of me wonders if it really does hurt for a thermometer for a size dog such as Lucky. I cannot help in thinking the dog poops out things bigger than a thermometer. Then again, it is going the opposite direction. As for getting the thermometer back manually, it would hurt beyond a shadow of a doubt for the dog. Thanks for uploading.
