That one looks like a very cool, small package, no non sens, decent outpuits, multitimbral/parts with the manual almost all writen out on the case. There is not enough synths like that in the world. That looks and sounds like the good stuff!
@@FredsLab I just got my early-bird pledge in! Thank you for letting me know. I'm excited to see you complete this :) I've been showing off my Fred's Lab gear on my own channel!
Damn this is exactly what I've been looking for. I hope he can complete the development. I was hoping someone with massive resources, like Yamaha, would do it. But I see it will come from small developers, like Fred's Lab.
Resource is definitely an issue, one of the big barriers actually, as these projects require a lot of engineering time and quite some cash when it comes to make the prototypes. But I'll make it a reality!
I'm really impressed with the Fred's Lab synths. He manages to cram so many ideas, so much functionality and sound quality into these little boxes and still keeps them completely usable. I hope, i can try the Manatee at some point. It sounds so lovely!
Will be a great addition to my TÖRÖÖ! I like that it sounds classy, not trashy and it can be used for many different kinds of music. I only would have one request: a second row of ENV knobs. to change AMP and FILTER ENV at the same time is so much more efficient than one after the other.
Hi 6th floor, UI is being redesigned at the moment and this env. controlling aspect has been reworked. You can give me your input on modwiggler's forum. Thanks!
Dear @unitedsouls11, this scheme has changed now. The Manatee is also ready for the Kickstarter and it launches in a couple of hours, you might be interested!
I seriously love that thing. My only request would be to add whole waveforms to then emphasize the harmonics on top of that. Seems illogical, but having done it with gear from the mid-nineties, I assure you it's not.
@@marzacdev Ah, nice! To explain my notion a bit, with the Kurzweil K2500 S, I ended up using it's samples of partials followed by the digital oscillators built into the signal flow more than anything else. It allowed me to practically duplicate tonality from Roland modulars and ARPs up to sightly newer Clavia gear. I've been somewhat obsessed with this method ever since.
Very cool stuff! The fact that this is the work of ONE MAN tells us quite a lot about the big companies and the space they offer creatives..
Hi, thanks for commenting. Manatee's Kickstarter is about to launch :-)

Been waiting for a video on this since I saw the announcement! Looks awesome
Thanks for this ☺️
Dear @geecen, the project is now mature enough for the Kickstarter launch, it happens tonight ;-)
The last time I had a synth in this type of concept, it was NI Razor, and I loved that. I'm excited to see how this turns out!
Hi, thanks for the comment :-) Manatee's Kickstarter is actually launching tonight!

Thank you very much for this show. My GAS IS GOING TOGETHER, I'M ALREADY BURNING HOW I WANT MYSELF MANATEE
And actually this was not the final version of the Manatee. The current built has more knobs!!!!

Hi Brutus, it's already there in the sub-oscillator section 😜. By the way, this sub-oscillator will become Oscillator 2 in the new hardware revision.

Great synth!
Thanks for the nice words 😘
Hey, nice interview! What are you using for video? It caught my eye that you have a selfie and forward video at same time on some times
GAS triggered 😅
Kickstarter launches tonight ;-) I guess you know this already...
Ça ressemble aux sons typiques des waldorf. J'espère qui sera capable de faire autre chose. Lol
Salut P C, oh, bien entendu !
