As a "mixed race" woman listening to this version after the one from Colors, I have to say I got in tears. Never hit me that hard how much we owe you, Black Women. You the real queens of this world.
@dk Sara : That's beautiful Sis, I hope you continue on this journey of discovery and can come to see yourself as a part of the history and future of Black women. Many, many, many of us are mixed-race, but we are still Black, it's a political and cultural identity as well, and us Black women come in all colors and bloodlines. You are not separate from us, I send much love to you Sis!
"Big nose , contour some of us dont" Finally someone said the reality our big nose are beautiful they fit our faces🤩🤩🤩 so proud of this song So many beautiful women unbothered and slaying
"Big" is in the context of whiteness and their narrow beauty standards, their lens. Black body parts aren't big, they're normal size (from thin slim to XXL voluptuous). Black is beautiful. Black is sexy. Black is normal. Black is EVERYTHING.
yup!! I used to not like my nose, because i always thought it was too big but then i started focusing on my face as a whole and realized any other nose would look weird on me
Me as well they did Amia kinda dirty, having Jorja on the remix is publicity for Amia they say but I’m not falling for it. The Music industry are good for stealing black peoples music and putting white/ mixed people as the face of it. And I think that’s what they did here.
@@taniamarie2486 oop- the shade (your not wrong tho) I still love Jorja but using her as a publicity move shouldn’t be necessary. If the song was good (which it is) it wouldn’t need someone who wasn’t on the original promoting it. The music industry confuses me sometimes
Imagine if you sang the hook for a song, and someone was asked to sing the hook YOU wrote and got popular off it; leaving you entirely erased from the song. Don’t pretend as if you wouldn’t be mad stfu
Too many black girls think that is black guys don’t find them attractive when it’s not true at all they’re beautiful but femininity and attitude play a major factor.
@@Callherchi That’s full of shit, we don’t cause you people to have a bad attitude. I don’t blame anybody for my lows mistakes and bad attitude nor should you, if you don’t learn to take accountability for your mishaps and own flaws you’ll never grow into a better person and men won’t like you. You’re one, blaming black men for how much of a shitty attitude you have ? Can’t take accountability is part of a shitty attitude and you just meet it. Go to Africa and act like that those aunties will put you back in place real quick.
@Free Yourself Simply said your attitude and femininity is what pushes away black men, it’s a simple fact you girls can’t ever come to terms with. Ain’t nobody forcing you to date black guys, do as you wish, but do not blame ur shitty attitude on us learn how to take criticism, you’re in denial about how you act but always want to pick off on the black make when that’s what you’re seeking to have ? Why get something that makes you a worst person. Not saying that black men haven’t had their shape of bad treatment towards black women but at the end of the day if you fuck up and can’t get what you want it’s your fault. I’m pointing out the obvious, you just form a shell because you don’t want to be told ur flawed. Whilst us blacks know we got some issues since we’ve been critiqued for centuries.
I know I should not be in women's business but Amia Brave was mistreated with her exclusion from the Colors remix. This kind of fuckery happens sadly in many aspects of life in Western societies like at work, housing and in the media in general. Amia you have all my sympathy and I hope you don't give up, and keep it pushing.
It's annoying af. Now I feelike deleting it from my Spotify after discovering her just yesterday. Getting another person to sing exactly the same bit that the original person already sung n not feature the original is utter bs
@Andy Mann yeah. Nothing wrong with her at all featuring. Just very weirdly done that's all. Like there's a whole other person on it ... the owner gets the platform but totally eliminates the original feature... just bad taste. In this day n age people will not be so forgiving or naive.

i didn't mind the remix with jorja smith or anything, by amias voice is so beautiful and warm, i wish they had done the colors with her on it hehe. i understand the remix was so that it could reach more people, but i honestly prefer amia on this song. the instrumental for the song here is a lot brighter and better in my opinion, as well.
Why I'm I hearing this and seeing this for the first time after the commentary on BBC. This should have been on 100 million views already. Loving this song so soulful, brought tears 😢 to my eyes. Keep it Enny 💯
If I had a daughter, she would be singing this. Such a beautiful testimony of Black Girl Magic. Loving the vibes. Loving the unapologetic stance. Do your thing, you shine!
I appreciate that COLORS probably wanted to give ENNY more exposure by featuring Jorja Smith but wow, what a misfire. There was absolutely no reason not to keep Amia and just write an extra part for Jorja for the remix. Colorism is so so real and they should have known better given the overall message of the song. Either way, both versions are great. It's just a shame that Amia wasn't given a chance to shine like she does here. An anthem for black girls everywhere, I love it!
The misfire sort of proves your point. I hope this version catches up in terms of views, courtesy of those of us who are conscious of the very real commercial viability of lighter skin (=colorism), to the detriment of the very uplift this song is preaching.
Watched this and fell in love before the remix came out. A remix was never needed, the original with amia feels so wholesome!! The video speaks to all us british black girls as it is.

It is sooo REFRESHING as a black woman myself to see other black women making meaningful music and not trying to living up to oversexualized stereotypes. We need more of this in 2021 forreal, not even hating or anything but we don't need any more nicki minajs, ms banks, meghan thee stallions and lil kims. We need role models, inspiring young women and teaching them all about self-respect. Big up to you guys forreal❤️
you're definitely right but i love the rappers you listed too. In end it's all about how the music makes you feel right?

Fr, there is nothing wrong with any women expressing sexuality however black woman are used only for sexualisation in most of the media. So it truly is refreshing seeing black girls just vibing without twerking or anything like that.✨
The living room scene with the aunties seems and feels like they had some real important conversations. Love it.

Now, this is heartwarming, I hope some black British men listen to the second rap and make a change instead of acting like pawns.
Too many black girls think that is black guys don’t find them attractive when it’s not true at all they’re beautiful but femininity and attitude play a major factor.
@@samxd9468 and those attitudes are caused by black men who put them down and that’s like saying black girls aren’t feminine which is a damn lie
@Free Yourself oh yh and I am talking about not taking accountability when it comes to dating.
“Someone can fix you a plate but no one can force you to eat “ damn that’s powerful and so is this whole video .

So much melanin in one video. Love it ❤.
I like this better . Everyone is painting that Peng black girls is Jorja’s song but it isn’t . And why did amia get swapped by Jorja .
She didn’t get swapped it was just a remix. Btw I love your mamas profile 😗
Amia Brave got swapped and jorja Smith hijacked the song(industry games).

Right. I completely prefer this version

This song is just so… relatable and therapeutic I don’t even need to learn the words I just her sing for me 😂😂
I appreciate that COLORS probably wanted to give ENNY more exposure by featuring Jorja Smith but wow, what a misfire.
Not about colorism jorga is a big name my godness
Jorja actually signed Enny she wouldn't of had such a hit if it wasn't for jorja 🤦♂️
Why not do both Jorja and Amia and Emmy??? It’s would be banger, why did they removed Amia?
This is so true
The misfire sort of proves your point. I hope this version catches up in terms of views, courtesy of those of us who are conscious of the very real commercial viability of lighter skin (=colorism), to the detriment of the very uplift this song is preaching.
