목공 아카데미 회원작품입니다.
우리 목공 교육 중에는 지정작품이 있습니다.
지정작품은 전통목가구인 사방탁자를 활용한 현대적 디자인 연구라는 주제로
회원이라면 피해갈 수 없는 제 2작품입니다.
아름다운 전통가구를 현대생활에 맞게 디자인하고 완벽한 재현은 아니더라도
우리의 것을 소중히 하고 제작 방식의 이해를 하는데 이 보다 멋진 가구는 없는것 같습니다.

Great design Jung Hyunwoo, the leather and brass details go so well with the walnut. The dovetails and miter joints turned out great! I am definitely going to incorporate the traditional Korean 2 or 3-way joint in one of my projects some day.

Beautiful piece, I can see the modern touch to this 4 ways display. The brass and leather go really well with the chocolate walnut wood. I really loved the 3 possible slots for the mirror, it's a great idea. And of course the joints were perfectly executed.
I hope they're proud of themselves, it's a great job, good continuation!!
