Good video, Thank you! Don't know that it makes any difference, but one thing that was different on the video from Mercury is that they have you put a thin film of the grease on the tubes for the hose fittings as well. Probably to ease remove that next time around...
Thanks again Miles. Your lower Unit Lube Change also helped. One thing I did was use spare lower unit fill hose on my Mercury 250 to drain the old lube into a empty quart bottle. I then close the bottle and tape a magnet to the top of the bottle. turn the bottle over and let it sit for a day, that way if there's any metal in the lube will be attracted to the magnet and stuck to the inside of the cap when I take the cap off. Obviously I'm doing that to see what is in the gear lube.
Just wanted to let you know after watching your video I successfully changed out my fuel filter/ water separator. Well done! Thank you Sir!

Mercury 50 hp marine engine fuel is not coming to the spark plugs.
I am thinking. injectors are solid. ecu is solid. When you add a few drops of gasoline into the cylinders, the engine starts and then stops. Cylinder pressure is very good. When you press the starter to start the engine, oily gasoline comes out of the exhaust. Can you help me? Also, there are syringes inside the log. I don't understand what they do. Greetings from Turkey.
You know what the funniest thing is these filters are $50-$60 and you cut it open and it's no diffrent then a inline filter. I may honestly just get the Amazon $12 one next time.
My hands are just stupid big. Does the back hose not fit as snug as the side one ?
isn't dry starts rough on the impellors?
