Very well put together comparison. Altho its important to mention each shield's CD. While you can have a 100% uptime on zhongli's shield, u can barely have over 50% uptime on noelle's. But hey, I dont know if 100€ is worth the diference xD Easy like!
Technically if you use Noelle shield correctly, you have a semi 100% up time on her shield but only herself. The shield is last for 12s with 24s CD and her CD instantly count down after use, so the time you have to wait is 12s but when you have her Nice and Clean talent you shave off about 4 or so second before the shield end and making it 7-9 second when it usually end. So you use that 7-9 second switching off to others to set up or use their burst and then switch her back in you should have almost or an already recharged shield ready to use.

noelle's shield is stronger because it scales off defense which someone said it would take less damage zhongli's shield though it has high hp scaling does not reduce the enemy's damage but he has better uptime so i think for utility: zhongli > noelle for shield strength :zhongli
I think if you have zhongli use zhongli, but if you don’t have zhongli because you lost the 50/50 use Noelle, but I prefer zhongli because is easier to build for make a great shield instead Noelle is harder to build for make a great shield
why is the shield weaker when you switch character? ive seen a reddit post about noelle and it says the shield stays exactly the same even when you switch
Because the stats of the character that currently being shielded play a roles in how much the shield can take. Switch to a low defend with no shield strength character would make the shield weaker. While switching to a high defend with shield strength character make the shield stronger. Even if the shield is the same for both.

Noelle's Shield's ONLY weakness is the cooldown
Yeah that's a pity. But imagine if her CD was low on her shield, she would be a 6 stars

actually if the shield break while hitting enemies it would drop crystal shard , that could be an extra extension for her shield

retracing bolide shield bonus only works for the person wearing the artifacts
