that's not an unusually empty schedule. plus he's completed several projects since 'His Last Vow'. and while your right he doesn't do as many projects as benedict and martin, i doubt that's due to his "commitment" to sherlock or whatever you were implying.
***** He wasn't as established as Benedict and Martin, Moriarty was his breakout role, but if you check out his imbd page, he's been working constantly, and I'm sure the higher-ups in TV and film will have noticed how popular he is among fans.

Sherlock and Mycroft were lying about Moriarty shooting himself on the roof top.. JM never really shot himself. There was a chess stalemate agreed between the 3 but that changed during the Christmas meeting between JM and Euros. Like JM managing to make a queen ( chess).. at the behest of the queen
The worst part of this is that... yep!!! we have to wait like another year to see how is this even possible... The feels, I finished the three seasons like one year ago and I am still waiting for season 4 T-T

Seeing most of the reactors are women, I wonder... Did people watch this show because of Benedict Cumberbatch or because they really love Sherlock Holmes? The show itself has a great story on its own, liberating itself to take a new interpretation of the story from the novels, and the acting is also great, but yeah just curious about that.
Erepyon Speaking for myself (a woman), I have very little interest in anything BC does outside of this role, it's his portrayal of Sherlock that I love. But I love the rest of the cast too, and the stories, the writing and the humor. It's just an awesome show!
