I appreciate your review of this chassis, especially mentioning it's application for the 2-door Jeep Rubicon (red & yellow) bodies. Boom Racing just posted up a new kit version, which comes without wheels, tires, or shocks, for $249(USD), so I purchased one for one of those 2-door Jeep bodies (mine is a newer tank army green version). It's a great deal for those who just want the essential platform.
Thanks for the Video!!! I Love the D90!! I just got my TRC D90 and BoomRacing Chassis. I got a couple ideas by watching this vid. I am headed to the Hong Kong G6 this year, hope to see you there!!
That cage fits great sir!! Awesome thanks for info! I am having hard time with weight on my D90 hard body!! What is your set up if don't mind me asking
glad i could be of some help to you. im guessing you have issues with top heavy and rolling over easily on side hills? if that is the case, that is the normal drawback of having a really scale truck. the easiest way that i could think of is to lower your ride height. in my case, i am using a droop setup with boomracing boomerang type G (100mm). since it is a droop setup its always on a compressed mode...hence when you approach a side hilling section, your shocks are already locked up and wont compress anymore. that helps to stabilize your ride when sidehilling. havin the shocks mounted slightly slanted and inwards on the shock mount helps too. hope this help
Thank you very much!! I will try that set up!! I have been wanting run it the d90 have had it for over year!! It's a rc4wd d90 kit👍 But thanks again sir!
can you help me to measure the defender d90 hardbody screw dimension that come with the kit? cuz I bought the boomracing d90 hardbody from asiatees that did't include screw & washer.
Is there a chance that you build a 1:10 scale Suzuki Samurai hardbody fit the MST scale chassis ( maybe a caribian lwb) in the near future? Thousands of Samurai fans would like to buy one ! Ha ha! Thank you for make rc scale driving more populare!
crawlervideo hey man. I havent found a suzuki samurai body with a 300mm wheelbase yet. i have a buddy who uses the tamiya samurai body on a mst CFX/CMX. That platform is much smaller than the CFX-W. Looks really good but its a lexan. Check out our fb at Siput Park Trophy.
if you compare just those 2 chassis i would say the boomracing chassis is good. no further tweaking. plug and play. I am very sure you know this but I guess I will just share...the boomracing or any other pure scale chassis are meant for what it is marketed for...scale. It is heavy and hard to handle. The good side of this is that...you can improve your driving further. Handling a heavy and top heavy rig all the time gives u the opportunity to read your lines and control your rig better.
Hi there...for scale truck, have a look at proline scaler shocks. Its 92-95mm. A cheaper option is the team raffee shocks. they come in 70, 80 and 90mm. Check out www.asiatees.com
@@JoseGarcia-yk3dl Yes, i agree totally. Proline are the best one but extremely expensive. They are thieves!. On asiatees you find the boomracing shocks, cheap and awesome!
Eric Bostick a lot of my buddies are using this platform. So far...I have not had a single complaint from anyone. This comes fully alloy. So i dont hear much issue on them so far
Hi, nice video, what do you think of this chassis, is this way better than the original RC4WD d90 chassis? It's look like a clone version of the Rc4wd with modification with steering and drive shaft. Do you updated built of this project?
thanks for the compliments. It is somewhat similar to the gelande but it differs slightly. i owned a gelande before but i cant really say which one is my preference. what i can do say is that the shocks for both rigs are not that good. that is the first thing u need to upgrade for performance. the drive shaft on the team raffe is already alloy so thats a plus to me. the rest...i think u need to add your own flavour to make it perform the way u like. for reliability...the updated version is wayyyy better than the first version. a friend owns the updated chasis and nothing breaks so far.

Will do! Will you have the Blue/Black Defender there?
Will do! Will you have the Blue/Black Defender there?
Yeah...Im bringing that. Thats my favourite rig.
Awesome, That's how I'll find you, I'll look for the rig! lol
I am looking at this product carefully. What about the quality? You look good to me.
RC Play Ground the new version is really good. They really used all the durable parts to good use. No issues so far
the shocks are a bit too big because you can tell by the angle of the drive shaft which is actually going to cause a bit of binding issues
I will ask. After all, if you don't buy TRC302225, can't you mount d90 truck body well?
Hi, I have a problem with this chassis. The thrust that goes to the servo is very long, did you have the same problem?

What is the TIRE size?

Thank you for Information ,i run a speed pal Samurai (Jimny) body from Japan on my Losi MRC .I wish to have a hard body.
what is the best chasis for d90, scx10 or this boom racing?

Does it come with an instruction manual when you bought it?
Yes it does. Pretty straight forward
Hello! I find very hard spring shock absorbers.
Any suggestions to improve the shock absorbers?
What shock absorvers do you recommend?

95mm? will not be much space between wheel and body?

so how is this compared to an rc4wd is it on par quality wise

The action figure is ugly and ridiculous, it's really out of scale! Too small.
