I've been working my way through the backlog of videos after getting recommended that one about social media becoming more and more unusable-- and they're all this good--i've been absolutely astounded.
so, i'm personally into witchcraft, but i am a creature of science before all else, so my approach to witchcraft has an unbreakable connection to logical, provable, material reality. examples: - i enjoy Tarot cards, as a psychological tool, to use the subjective symbolism to open up a dialogue with the person receiving the reading from a "have you considered this angle of looking at your problem?" perspective. no future tells, or answers in the cards, only alternative ways to look at the problem/uncertainty - crystals/rocks, candles, insense, etc, are all pretty or otherwise sensorically appealing, which allows mood control in the moment, to help enter mental flow state (basically, setting makes you more focused) - sigils are a way to encode a thought or intention, and once you have that encoded messsge with/on you, you think about it more, which reminds you to work harder to achieve the result when possible. it's also a fun game, or evaluating your nonverbal connection to people, to see if the person you give that sigil to understands you well enough to guess what it means, and this PROCESS can strengthen your interpersonal connection - psychedelics create new temporary neural pathways in your brain, which literally shake up your brain into having new perspectives - sex, art, dance, conversation, shared experiences, are all immersive and can have collective effects OVERALL i define magic as a state of immersion into a moment, which heightens many aspects of that moment, leading to some transcendent "unexpected" outcome. and that's my kind of witchcraft. very much in line with material reality, but basically adding a layer to the usual perception of the world, and seeing what can change by connecting to yourself, others, your surroundings, and the moment, to make it more than it would be by default. nothing mystical, beyond what you consciously make it aaaand as you can imagine, the online, salespeople "witches" make me cringe A LOT
What a fascinating way to practice. I'm a woman of science myself, but it's never occurred to me to embrace both a science based understanding of the world and the practices and principles of Wicca. I'm accustomed to thinking of it as appropriation, but you've found a way to genuinely hold both beliefs without conflict. I've always had a distant fascination with witchcraft. Maybe I'll try your way of thinking out for a spin and learn to read tarot. 🤔
As someone who practices Wicca, people like this are the reason I don't like to bring it up. Do I believe doing little spells do anything at all? Not really. But a big part of the religion is based around energy. I'd honestly say energy can only be used against other energy. So putting energy into a spell to make something physical happen wouldn't work (obviously). But if you believe in spirits, which most of us do, that would be something you could use it for. I would equate energy for us is like praying for other religions. Loved the video!
keep on doing what your doing bro its great, i love your sense of hummor. also as someone who actually did ig witchcraft i just wanna say that I never truly belived it would work, yeah tehnicaly some things did happen as I wished but I feel like its more of a placebo effect ( like I had more confidence because I belived in it , i looked better because I started taking care of myself, I had more friends because I thought all thought all those burnet papers did sometthing even if in reality I just started doing things, I started to act like someone who had all that that I wanted to manifest. I guess looking back on it its kinda funny. I might have been a stupid kid. sorry if it doesnt make sense im really tired. hope to see more of you

i think people need to collectively take a moment to remember what a true obsession is, because it's not just liking someone/something. you do not want to be the object of someone's obsession.
