Hello Mary Beth, I found the most striking thing about the black and gold New York collectors plate was that it was pre 9/11, as the twin towers were captured in gold to the left of the Statue of Liberty. Quite a memory piece for those of us who remember them standing so tall and adding beauty to the NYC skyline. Hope you had a nice trip and welcome home, big hugs, Sandie from Magnolia.

I was reminded last night of something we all know but can sometimes forget when we're in a Thrift store... It was about 730 at the GW (closes at 8) and I'd exhausted the hard goods. I looked quickly through the seasonal clothes but there was nothing so I decided to check the summer tops. Found 2 NWT NY&Co. - gorgeous and perfect! I am now eagerly awaiting a lunch date with my bestie as soon as warm weather hits!
It was a great reminder to shop off season - no matter if it's retail or resale!!!

Friday I found d 2 pieces if crystal that I thought was Waterford.
Turned out 7" bowl was Galway and Posy vase was Tipperary. Those are 2 companies that I have NEVER heard of before?
Have you ever purchased anything from the 2 companies? Can you share your knowledge of them.

Galway and Tipperary are fantastic finds! Both are excellent crystal manufacturers. Have shared history in previous videos. Tipperary was founded in 1987 by former Waterford Crystal craftsmen. Galway was started in 1967 and has made some fabulous crystal pieces.
Franklin Goodwill prices are so much better than ones in Huntsville, AL (actually AL in general). Franklin GW is a clean store with more selections. I just don't understand why Alabama GW prices are so high and selections are so low - basically junks, even the stores near the high-end neighborhoods. It might be worth the drive to TN. I can drive to Fayetteville, TN in less than 30 minutes, thank goodness.
