    5:20 Natural frequencies exist in all mechanical structures. Not quite. Natural frequencies also exists in biostructures. This means plants, animals and even humans. Example our eardrum has resonance over a wide range of frequencies. That's why we hear sounds, but not sounds in the very low or very high frequencies. A dog's eardrum however, resonates at higher frequencies, thus they can hear high pitched sounds with ease, which our human ears cannot pick up. Our body also resonates at certain frequencies. That's why when we hear rock and roll, we tend to dance to the beat, but if the beat is too slow (think My Heart will go on) or too fast (example Flight of the Bumblebee), it's virtually undanceable. Just my 2 cents. But this is a very good presentation!

    how could us identify or determin natural frequency for let say pump steel foundation in order to run the machine at frequencies far away of it to avoid resonance?

    I need to build a forced torsional vibration analisys testing bench. Would it be a good approach to have a motor rotate a long shaft, and induce excitation frequencies that generate resonance in the axle in order to analyze the phenomenon ?
