Yayy! Spice bazaar is really good !! That rice pudding is called " firni" it has a little rose water for flavouring too ( good guess Ivana) The chicken boti is pronuonced: botee Boti means small chicken peice That green drink is " Mint Margarita" is a must in Hi tea nowadays. That bread pudding thing is called " Dahi Bhalay" yogurt + fried chickpea flour mini pakora And the crispy spheres with filling are " Gol gappay" you gotta dunk them in the sauce and eat in one bite . Gol gappay and Dahi bhalay are popular Pakistani snack/street food item, hence the best ones you get from there. And one more thing , most people won't eat anything before Hi tea /buffet so that they can stuff themselves up with food 🤭 Also if you ever wanna try firni at home just get " Laziza firni mix" it's a readymade mix that you add in boiling milk and voila firni is ready
@@JetLagWarriors Bela Ree did great job. One minor correction. Rice pudding in clay dishes (pair of dishes) is “kheer” but also called “Thoothian” 😀😀. Thoothian is a sweet dish given for free during first 10 days of Islamic calendar. Kids go from door to door to collect these (like chocolates on Halloween). From your title, “spice bazaar”, at first i thought you will be buying or exploring Pakistan’s finest and variety of “spices”, but its a buffet place, yummy! What you order are indeed looks 🤤 (delicious). At 12 mins, when Ivana says something “is it sweet... i will try”, u look down and i thought you will give her the other half of the clay pot to try, but you didn’t share🤣.

I'm loving your vlogs guys! Honestly makes me want to go to Pakistan again! I love how authentic you are in your vlogs, I just wish there could be someone there to explain more about the different food types and how to eat them. The little chickpea puffs are called Gol Gappay, and you dip them into the sour water and try to stuff the whole thing in your mouth. Eagerly waiting for your next upload :)
All you can eat hi tea @ Spice Bazaar is more like a dinner to me. Wow, there's lots of food and they look mouth watering... The place looks cozy and serene. Good food review by you guys. SHUKRIYA Steve and Ivana. Awesome video !!
This is best episode so far: Seven stars (*****)** , lets break the rule, Why not Vocabulary: This Rice pudding you were eating called "Firni Thoothi" [thu~tea] (the clay saucer is called thoothi) At around 17:26 in small dish Ivana eating is "Dahi-Baray" it is basically dumplings that are made of Urid dal (Vigna mungo) that you enjoy with flavored and spiced yoghurt and tamarind sauce. At around 17:54 Ivana was eating Gol Gapay It is a combination of sweet and sour taste. you suppose to fill each Gapa with runny sauce and eat it whole (It is very tasty because you were so full you couldn't justify the taste of this yummy snacks.) BTW if there is enough left over you may request them to pack it for you (Its better than wasting), don't be shy you can always eat latter. (you know what i mean)
I forgot to share on amazing thing. The glittering layer on those Firni pots. Was very very thin layer of pure silver. It is made by beating a very tiny piece of silver, as much as it become this thin you can gulp it with food. lololol Isn't it surprising ? My Pakistani fellows know it. It is called 'Chandi Varq'
All d good n delicious food u guys had looked more like an early dinner rather than a hi tea. It's like Malaysian hi tea buffet too, plenty of good n delicious food.

Rice pudding, we call it ‘firni’ here in Pakistan and it’s served as a dessert. The spice that you were getting there could be cinnamon, cardamom or nutmeg. And the flower aroma or taste you were getting could be rose water! It’s our traditional dessert, and yes the clay pots really enhances the flavour of kheer! ❤️ I’m so happy you both are enjoying spice bazaar, it’s one of my favourite restaurants to go for hi tea! The one with chick peas inside are called gol gappay, you have to dip the whole thing inside the spiced water, so the water can get into the hole where all chickpeas were and put the whole ‘gappa’ thing in your mouth. It’s quite messy when you eat gol gappay but that’s the best part about it. It’s really sour, sweet and spicy. And the yogurt bowl with the spices is called ‘dahi bhallay’. Both the gol gappay and dahi bhallay are our street food staples! Gotta have them once in your life. Can’t top a good gol gappa though!
So I happen to watch this now! anyway the dish with yoghurt you both are confused about at 19:25 is a snack which is made of minced lentils fried balls in yoghurt called Dahi bhara (think of falafel with grinded chickpeas) :)
Ok sorry for my late comment, but I just recently found your channel and I'm loving it. As a Pakistani I must say you're doing great so far and thanks for coming. That rice pudding is also one of my childhood favourites. It's called firni and basically its cooked with milk, cardomom, sugar and rice powder which makes it so delicious.
It isn't kheer but another type of rice pudding called Firni (pronounced like fir in fir tree). This is made with rice flour & milk which gives it that gelatinous sticky consistency that allows it to stick to that clay plate. Kheer otoh is made with whole rice grain & milk, is lumpier, grainy & not as sticky as firni. Both are desserts.
