Purchase price is lower than tier 4 final diesel engines, and propane fuel is $1.50 - $2.00 per gallon less than diesel. Zenith engines are available in 24 - 300hp sizes and operate on either propane or natural gas. Propane is not subject to containment regulations, and is nearly impossible to steal. Incentive money is available through the National Propane Gas Association, and in some counties propane engines are considered for Carl Moyer programs.
