You are mega inspiring me, girl! I’ve been on a journey towards unapologetically taking up space, and your beautiful authenticity is such a wonderful blueprint of inspiration 😍 Thank you for being You 🫶🫶❤️🧡💛✨✨✨ 💜Lulu
And I totally agree about watching the movie before reading the book! I cannot say how many times I did the opposite and was SO disappointed with the choice of actors, screenplay, etc! But when I read the book after the movie, I get to recreate whatever I want! 😍✨🙌
I watch the movie/series first too! I do my best to stay neutral and enjoy both versions of the story. But I can understand why readers/viewers get bothered by big changes (Bridgerton for example). I usually love the actor chosen for characters in the movie/series and that just enhances the reading experience for me. The book just adds more depth in character.
I remember when I first discovered the twilight series and started reading them. Then I found out they were creating movies and I was super excited but after reading all the books and then watching the movies I was super disappointed cause it just wasn’t the same. So I agree. For me I’d rather watch the movie and then read the book.
I only like to read the book before seeing the movie because I want to experience my own visualizations (of characters, settings, etc) and then compare them to the choices made for the film, because if I see the film first I’ll be picturing it all from memory rather than imagination 🌈 but totally get what you’re saying, why set yourself up to be disappointed ha
