@@stevendickson2711 Agreed. Gemma had a mo tucker thing going on. Shambles were such a brave band.. Did they know it? Prolly not. This here time is lightning in a bottle. Never to be repeated.
Man everything about this is peak indie. The venue, the sweat, the chain smoking, the hats, over-use of the word 'Shambolic', references to the queens of noize between songs, banging on about 'albion'. Top notch.
Indie era ? There’s been indie era’s since the Smiths , Echo & the Bunnymen , Teardrop explodes, Happy Mondays , Stone Roses , he’s not as good as Johnny Marr or Squire , but if it’s from the era Babyshambles are from Billy Ryder jones is up there.
I went to this gig with an ex, stood watching them on the left side of the stage. A security guard were I worked was friends with a security guard on the door. So we didn’t have to pay, one of the best live gigs I have been to!!!
Totally. Such a unique style and wild energy. He made the band and down in Albion for me - on top of the great songs of course but he added a rawness they never got back. As a teenager I lost interest after he left
Thank you so much for this upload! 🖤 it's so good to take a back in time to Babyshambles era. Peter is absolutely gifted artist, the only one of his kind.
The good old days, thank you so much for the upload man! I was their first fan, nobody knew them in France... And in college, I was 18, I introduce all my friends to the shambles 😁
In Pete's new book, (A Likely Lad) there is a passage were he says paraphrasing: "Amy Winehouse wasn't a person who could handle her habits while being a performer well" Meanwhile Pete's attendance to gigs is about a 10% ratio. Buy the book, it's good. Pretty much a bunch of short stories about being skagged out with Wolfman, and of course, his semi platonic love affair with Carl. John/Gary take up about 10 sentences combined. Worth a read. Got the hardback for 25 quid
Remember telling everyone I was going to this and then didn't... can't remember what happened. Probably strung out all day with lovers and clowns... Fucking hell man I think I thought I'd be 24 forever and 2005 would never end.
@@matthewjdouglas6471 yeah I've since spoken to someone very close to the band/Peter. He said that Mik was a close friend of the band and would help out
This was Pete who the Libertines said he was to fucked up to write and make music .. Pete says ok and forms babyshambles made more albums than the Libertines and had solo albums what did Carl do.. not much
How many cigs does pat loose, him and Pete light a fresh every song then pat looses his. To much sniffing and tooting and not tuning his guitar, played bad at first .
Can never get enough of Pat Walden. Superb.
I know how amazing are they 🤗
Gemma had an edge to her also.. Love Adam but........

Babyshambles were never the same once he left
I have seen them with Pat and Mik and Pat Walden is another level.

Pat is truly is the best guitarist of the whole indie era! His stint with Babyshambles is akin to Mick Taylor with the Stones

Not the whole indy era. But definitely the last 20 years

@Torin Landyn Definitely, I have been using flixzone for years myself =)
@Torin Landyn Yup, I have been watching on Flixzone for since december myself :D
Love Pat's guitar style so much! Added such a grungy vibe to Pete's songs
A gem of history. Very timely. Thanks.

The man. The legend. Pat.
This is real real grand.
Pete n Pat were a perfect match stylistically.
I’m actually going through a hard time right now , and I keep coming back to this upload of the live and in some odd way it is being me comfort .

I'm convinced it's the Internet that has killed legitimately new music genres and sub-cultures such as this.
But Pete used the internet for good
@@ryanjavierortega8513 absolutely, but it's not like that anymore
I like how Pat and Pete never did drugs together.

wow early version of Fuck Forever?
How can he even remember the lyrics off his head like that
Not the first & won't be the last to be intoxicated & sing the songs & give great performances 🎙️🔥💚
So Mik was guitar tech before becoming the guitarist
Yes I've seen him in about 4 different shambles vids usually tuning up for pat
