Praise God for setting every wrong right! I therefore bind on to desire one's spirit, body and soul being made whole and holy while binding to hell every lack of desire of spirit, body and soul being made whole and holy in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents, the children I teach and the body of Christ, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone lacking desire for one's body, soul and spirit to be made whole and holy, in accordance witht his word and 1 thessalonians 5:23-28, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God!
Thank you so much for these teachings,John! They have been truly so helpful in clearly explaining and expositing scripture, in my walk with the Lord. Grace and Peace to you!
Sunday, 30 Oct 2022 04:44 am Thank you Lord for the price you paid for me, on the skully hill of Celvery. Your body on a tree, the price you paid for me. At first I thought how can this be that there's a God that cared for me and paid my price instead of me. This sinless lamb a sacrifice to set me free from death, sin and enquity. That day was tragedy and the most beautiful moment in history. The blessed hope. In the tomb you were placed, and there you lay until that day the stone was rolled away. No greater time was ever seen as the day you set the captives free, you rose again so all could see redemtions power and victory. Oh king of kings and Lord of Lords, who could have seem a baby born a nazarine, the son of God born in a barn a bed of straw and nothing more. But as this story did unfold the forfulment of the prophets old the one who walked the streets of gold has come to us that we may have the victory.
I love the work you put into biblical research and specifically the connection between passages and usage of words in the text before giving your view or teaching on several issues. It really helps me to follow along with your thought process and "see what you see", and therefore understand you much easier and quicker. May the truth be your friend and may God bless your work because of your earnest attempt to see and preach what is really there. Thanks.
It would seem that we have a body. We are a soul. And the spirit is the will or life-force within us. Hence Romans 8 “if the spirit of God really dwells in you.” Or in Ephesians 2 “the prince of power of the air; the spirit of at work in the sons of disobedience.” I would even go as far to say that society today sees strong spirits of Kain and Babel with Marxist ideology and identity crises in trying to become their own gods…but that’s a different subject and requires a deep foundation of defining things!
Spirit (gk pneuma) that is breath. Think about what God breathed into Adam. Once saved, our breath of Adam, of death, is replaced with the breath of God making us alive and yet it is our breath. Whereas Soul (gk psuche) is our mental faculties combined with our breath of life into one body and that is what Paul is praying to be preserved blameless. That is a tall order.
thank you Lord for sanctifying us and continue to help us be sanctified for your glory

Wow, Hallelujah.

The Soul has to do with communion with other beings. Kierkegaard was right.
