Thank you for this video! I am a New Bern native born in the 60’s and it’s always great to see and hear what visitors think of our beautiful little city😍
I do not know how this video showed up in my suggested videos but I am glad it did! I live in New Bern! Been here since 1991 and I have personally seen this city grow exponentially. This was a great video and a great history lesson for even me! I could never move away from New Bern. I am 41 years old and have been all over the world being that my dad was in the army but when he was done in 1991 we moved here since 95% of our family live here. Now being that it is 2023, I have lived here most of my life! Thanks again for a great video!
Got to admit I am jealous of you, I wish I could find a work from uh trailer job lol. I've had great luck finding jobs every where we go, but it would be amazing not having to switch every three to six months.
@@ProjectRVLivingLost I live in Switzerland, but not in Bern. I found out that your city exists in the novel Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. So I wanted to know more about it. Thanks for this video.
I feel so sorry for these people. When I was a child, the building was original! (mostly) Worn down bricks, old rotted wood, impurities in the glass windows…it was like a time travel into the past. Fort Macon was exactly the same 50 years ago. I think they deemed it a hazard for tourists so it was renovated. Looks all shiny and new. 🤢
@@ProjectRVLivingLost I’m sad that you couldn’t see the original place. The weathered look of a historic site is a memory I wish I could share with everyone. It’s sad they had to renovate. I feel lucky to have witnessed the original site.

🙏 Thank you! Glad we’ve had some folks from New Bern think we covered it well.

One of the most underrated cities in NC. Great place to live.
Couldn’t agree more!

I was told not to trust anyone with Blue or Red hair, anything to it?
Definitely can’t trust folks with red hair 😂
