I think there is a reason they're in a narrow corridor so they probably wait for the targets to get into the hallway before jumping down on them and cutting off their retreat and attack with melee attacks using the element of surprise to cause the enemy to panic and break formation. they may even have bombs in them that activate under specific circumstances.
There are a few things I have always been wondering about.
How much do different types of character builds matter in the new world, since some spells seem to work a little differently compared to Yggdrasil? The new world is a "real" place and is subject to "realism", compared to a game, where a certain level of "gaminess" is to be expected. While the spell system seems to follow some type of rule, there are examples of how it doesn't do exactly what It used to do compared to the game.
In games, whenever a new patch is released, even small tweaks and changes can result in builds changing in effectiveness, whether negatively or positively. The play style may change and the "meta" may shift. *And the New World is much like a new patch.*
For example:
Ainz has Dark Wisedome. Allowing him to possess 700+ spells. In a world where magical power is not just defined by how much mana you have, but also how many spells you master. Could it be, that Ainz's effective power is beyond that of a level 100, despite being a level 100, as a result? Making his "RP" build more viable then it was in the game? Making it possibly the #1 Meta for casting classes?
Also, assuming that flavor texts become reality in the new world, what do you think the implication of that is?
For example:
Ainz has Dark Wisedome, could it be that Ainz's accidental "master plans" aren't really accidents -that his underlings mistake for ingenuity- but are a result of the flavor text of the passive ability. Ainz may think it is all a happy coincidence, allowing him to fake it, till now...... but maybe "Dark Wisedome" is effecting his choices without him knowing...
or maybe it is effecting fate itself. Making sure, that whatever Ainz does, it ends up being wise.

Well, I think it's pretty clear that the RP elements of Ainz' build translated VERY well to the New World, since all of the abstracted and game-ified elements of rulership fell directly onto Ainz.
It's a little less clear if other aspects of Ainz' build have had ripple effects. For example, Ainz having so many spells is good on its own, but I'm not sure if it has any other effects, or would help him learn new spells above his limit.
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 The new world changed many things or Ainz.
His death magic for example actually effects corpses and is now a requirement for some spells (Nazarick can spawn undead minions but that has a daily limit/cap so Ainz needs bodies to go over this. Also undead Ainz creates this away are also permanent and do not disappear after a fixed time like in game.
Other spells are just broken. In Yggdrasil, the skill [The Goal of All Life is Death] just killed Players and NPC's without instant death protection. In tje New World, it kills everything, including the air and even inanimate objects causing them to "die" which turns soil into sand and makes the air devoid of oxygen.

Just imagine, these golems are being used in a battle, where they use the World Items of the actual Ainz Ooal Gown members.
Seth they dont own the world items individually they share them as a guild/vote on what to do with them, (Exceptions are there ofc)
Depending on how the description for the golems are written, they may know they're not actually the supreme beings. After all it'd make more sense to write something mentioning that the golems are memorials to them, rather than the actual supreme beings themselves. For instance, "This avataras is made in the likeness of Touch Me, greatest warrior in the world, a man of righteous and just spirit." and then goes on to explain the function of said avataras. This would mean they're aware they're not the originals, but merely made in their image. I'd also wager they're not able to fully utilize the skills and equipment to full effect. They may be able to use them, but I don't imagine they'd use them as well, and any skills or spells would be unlikely or extremely limited.
Imagine, if Momonga had simply confirmed Albedo's assumption that the 40 Supreme Beings were in fact dead instead of dodging the question with a half-answer Albedo's Secret Covert Unit might never have come to be. smh
Yup, in truth his lonliness is his great weakness and changng Albedo is his greatest failure because in doing so he made a grave character flaw in her that makes her by nature defiant with love
@@ProtoPropski her background is so complicated that it summed up to the end of being a beach while Momonga changed it to be in love with him instead, what if instead of being a bitch to a lot of men thay equaled to only one which explains her occasional outburst.

ohh... imagine the guardians being unsatisfied with the golem versions of their creators and have momonga tell them that the original are far greater only to have the wrong supreme golem hear that, it will be a total nightmare if they believe themselves to be the originals

In the 11th book I believe when he was in the dwarf treasury he found a sore that he could pick up and swing but would not immediately dropped because of the sorts enchantment. Going from that it should be possible for him to find and make melee weapons the he is capable of using and his sorcerer form without having to rely on the spell perfect Warrior
He could if he takes Nfirea talent with his ring wish upon a star. No need to kill him, or he could find another person with the same talent and take it. But since Ainz doesn't know it that move is worth it or not he hasn't done it yet (now he only has two wishes since he wasted one on Shalltear brainwash) With more information about the talents he might do something like that in the future
Well his armor he made for his Momon persona is enchanted to allow him to use warrior weapons. So I'm sure he already is aware of that.

I can just imagine if they were completely like the original and the originals very soul is stuck in those golems and while Aniz is walking pass them they are yell at him in there minds trying to get his attention

Something to keep in mind. While I'm not sure Momonga would think of it given his lapses in reasoning at times, the golems are imperfect not just in their appearance, but in their personality write ups if they exist. This is due to the fact that they would be written from Momonga's perspective. I'm sure that most people can understand that the light we view someone in is generally different from how they actually are. Even in a best case scenario we would only see what we believed to be the positives in someone, ignoring all their flaws or mundane characteristics. This could easily lead to the golems being something of a stereotype of their normal behavior, rather than having the full depth of who his friends were as an individual. So they are most likely imperfect in every aspect of the word except ironically enough those minor imperfections or shades of grey that make us human.
Ulburt’s avatar would not be able to cast, “grand catastrophe”, as to use it, one needs to kill the player that currently has it.
maybe the disctiption he placed on them is like the events the guild went through, maybe he tried to write it in his friends perspective,
from the exploits and personal achievements to large scale events the guild partook in.
maybe they would simply act as personification or a representative of each supreme being they are assigned to

Imagine that what happen if the author make 1 or some of the supreme being player enter the yggdrasil app because they tried if they can somehow enter the game because of remembering the "nostalgic" feeling of it(some of you guys have done it, don't lie xD) . But instead of spawning in the tomb, they spawn directly in the avatars statue & can move like their normal avatar counterpart with all of their inventory transfered into it (debatable of their avatar sizes would change or stay as their normal avatar height) or maybe just spawn directly in the Tomb of Nazarik (bcuz they're most likely spawn there before quiting), it would be very interesting ideas on how they would conquer the new world(most of the player avatar are in evil karma status except Touch Me but still I think he would probably help the conquering to make the world a safe utopia because of their real world counterpart).
My reason that they could transfer to the new world is because as far as we know, only the Tomb of Nazarick home base guild are transported there so spawning in the guild is just like spawning inside your homebase area.
theres a possibility because the summon caused by the wild magic has effects on different timeline but well maruyama already said he wont bring the guildmates of ainz in the story so nope

What I don't understand is the fight of ainz and shaltear is if Ainz sent in a weak opponent to die to shaltear wouldn't it brake the spell on her after she killed the weak opponent?
well, ainz decided to pvp her instead of ganging her, is because of her lancce(forgot the name) sucks the hp out of the opponent and transfers it to the user(Shaltear), so the best way to win against her is by 1 hitting her or else you would give her a chance to regain lost hp

She would still be under the affect even if she killed an opponent.
Why would the spell brake if she killed someone?
Daniel Ketley if I recall she was forced to kill anyone who attacked her first. After that if she won she had no further commands from the caster.
Cape SIX yeah, then she would return to her stationary state, like she did when the Black scripture left, she wouldn’t be free. If she killed the one who cast it on her then yes, but otherwise no.
I dont believe the golems would have the personalities. It doesnt quite fit the theme and lore.

Sadly I doubt they could use all of the imitated Player's abilities since that'd be OP as all hell.
just saying but the other npc have the same ability a player could have and shaltear is fairly OP so it's not like there isn't anything else "OP".
Mostly, though the NPCs can't use super tier without some kind of special circumstance. There's also abilities and classes that are off limits to them, like PA not being able to use Touch's strongest World Champion skills and so on. Still, if those golems are able to imitate player builds beyond what even NPCs can do, it wouldn't surprise me if its a pay to win thing.
I also kind of mean OP in the game sense, not VS New World. Like Momonga is far from OP in the game, his character build was mediocre game-wise, even if he is a skilled player. Even Shaltear's build ranks at the low end of the top tier of player builds, but yeah, She's awesome 1V1, well for a mindless game NPC that is, and now she's sentient, she's learning.
@@dreadrath well has a general rule it seems that thing that where considered "OP" in the game where only OP becaus people didn't know how to counter it. yggdrasil was a game where information was power so it means that basically every swords has it's shield and every shield has it's sword and people won't tell ennemy how to defeat them (at least not willingly).
Good point, the 8th Floor's death trap was a prime example of that. Thousands of players who watched the recording of it or were even there themselves shrieked to the devs that AOG cheated, but the devs ruled out any cheating. The simple reality is that there was a diabolical genius in AOG who came up with an idea nobody thought of, and thus could not counter, which at worst is bending the rules, not breaking them.
@@dreadrath considering that cursing the devs for pulling all kinda of crap with dungeon and potentially trap was more common than saying hi sometimes it's safe to say the devs might have had the same kind of shit that AOG pulled off hidden somewhere.
Something that confuses me about the avataras... Momonga create Pandora to protect the treasury right? And he is there cause he can mimic all of the stats (80%), skills and battle techniques of the supreme ones... That sorta means he would be using their equipment ain't I wrong? But how will he be able to jump from one equipment to another adapting to the situation if the avataras are supposed to fight using those equipment too? No one will ever reach the treasury anyway but isn't it kinda of a flaw in this whole defense mechanism? Or does Pandora has his how legendary gear too?
his skill mimics the god artifact as well but well 80% at least. You already saw him mimic Tabula which in full cloth. But not sure if 80% translates to lvl 80 since it's a different league from lvl 90 and above. 80% might be lvl 97

He did not want any plus all other members of the guild were chosen by Touch Me who was a great judge of character which protected the guild from having spy's join.
Archy88 their guild were literally the strongest and most famous in all of YGGDRASIL so in fear of spies they don’t let anyone in anymore

anh dinh lam duc well to fix my mistake, they are not the strongest but one of the hardest to conquer. And Nazarick was quite popular so they don’t recruit anyone else.
In Yggdrasil the IA wasnt the best, and the Avataras are like NPC copy of the Guild Members. So for me the Avatara CAN have the same stats and attack of the 41, but they dont know how to use their abilities properly. They dont have the strategic mind of the Super High Level Players of AOG. Theyre like 45% of the Spremes strenght

the "original" translation you mention most likely just the official translation (wich sucks quite a bit in some aspect) the original sounds like the first translation made wich would be fan made becaus they work faster and often better than those paid for it... just go look up on like redit and get yourself the fan translation of volume 12, 13 and the spin off with evil eye (and maybe also what is curently done of the translation of volume 14)

From what I know there is no German translation and the people I know reading Overlord in English
Most anime don't have a German translation. People complain about dubs in English, but in German it is way worse. Thy read their lines as if they hate their job! Most Germans aren't good at speaking English, but they tend to be quite good at understanding it. Thus, Germans will go for English versions 99% of the time.
