That needs either a Kodak Instamatic or a Pocket Instamatic. Haven't seen either in a while. An SLR would be really heavy and I don't think they would carry a Polaroid. I did have the Pocket and Polaroid handed down to me in 73.
Interesting video , I have a primus just like that one and it works ... I also had a headlamp like yours too , it cracked one really cold campout . Those came out about the same time as the UCO candle lanterns , and in the Boy Scouts we had cooking grates like that. I tried a lot of what looked like a good idea at the time kind of stuff and like you I still have kept quite a bit of it .
I haven't fettled that particular stove as I have another '71 that I dearly love and works like a champ. I still need to test that headlamp, too. Its been a display piece since I bought it, but I'll be doing a 1960s-70s camping trip video soon and will need some kind of night lighting, hoping it works. Thanks for watching!
Mountain House pretty much dominated the market making it hard for others to get a foot hold. The Mountain House packaging is a bit sturdier. They used Mylar which is a bit more puncture resistant than the plastic bags that Rich Moor used.
Ok, I need help folks. I've got Boomer Brain. 😂 I can't find the "join" button/link anywhere. It is not on my screen where Sarge says it is supposed to be. Also, I want to purchase Sarge's book about Kelty packs and can't find it in the store. When I go into the store, it is not a complete list. Thanks a bunch
Well, it could be a Boomer RUclipsr. I don’t always paste the comments links when I'm 'sposed to. If you're watching on your phone or TV, the links don't show up the way I said they do (I learned that about 5 minutes ago). If you check the comments on any other video, a direct link to the book and the memberships should be there.

Hadn't thought about that, but you're right. I carried an Instamatic....need to find one, and see if I can find some film.
Do you have an old box/brownie camera for you 20-30s packing?@@sargevining

Ok, thanks Sarge. I am a Boomer and a big fan!
P.S.
Thanks for your service!
